AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX
AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX är en processor för stora bärbara datorer (för spel) baserad på Rembrandt-generationen. R9 6900HX integrerar alla åtta kärnor baserade på Zen 3+-mikroarkitekturen. De är klockade på 3,3 (garanterad basklocka) till 4,9 GHz (Turbo) och har stöd för SMT/Hyperthreading (16 trådar). Chippet tillverkas i den moderna 6 nm TSMC-processen. "X" i namnet indikerar överklockningsmöjligheterna för CPU:n.
Den nya Zen 3+ är en uppdatering av Zen 3-arkitekturen och bör inte bjuda på några större förändringar. Själva chipet erbjuder dock en hel del nya funktioner, som stöd för USB 4 (40 Gbps), PCI-E Gen 4, DDR5-4800MT/s eller LPDDR5-6400MT/s, WiFi 6E, Bluetooth LE 5.2, DisplayPort 2 och AV1-dekodning.
Processorprestandan ska vara lite högre än den gamla Ryzen 9 5980HX tack vare den högre boostklockan (+100 MHz). De nya Alder Lake-mobilprocessorerna med 14 kärnor (som Core i9-12900HK) bör dock erbjuda en högre flerkärnig prestanda. Jämfört med den snabbaste modellen, Ryzen 9 6980HX, erbjuder 6900HX en 100 MHz lägre boostklocka och därmed en något lägre prestanda.
En stor nyhet är den integrerade GPU:n Radeon 680M, som nu är baserad på RDNA2-arkitekturen och erbjuder 12 CU:er på upp till 2,4 GHz. Det ska vara den snabbaste iGPU:n av alla vid tidpunkten för tillkännagivandet.
TDP för APU:n är specificerad till 45 watt (standard) och kan konfigureras högre för CPU:erna i X-serien om en OEM så önskar. Energieffektiviteten bör vara mycket god, tack vare den förbättrade 6 nm-processen och ytterligare energisparfunktioner i 6000-serien.
