AMD R9 4900H

AMD Ryzen 9 4900H är en mobil SoC för stora bärbara datorer baserad på Renoir-arkitekturen. När den utannonserades var det den snabbaste modellen från 4000H-serien. R9 4900H innehåller alla åtta kärnorna, som är baserade på mikroarkitekturen Zen 2. De har en klockfrekvens på 3.3 GHz (garanterad basklockfrekvens) upp till 4.4 GHz (Turbo) och har stöd för SMT / Hyperthreading (16 trådar). Chippet tillverkas i en modern 7 nm-process av TSMC och det är till stor del på grund av det som AMD gör reklam för att Renoir-chippen är dubbelt så snabba.

Enligt vår information är Ryzen 9 4900H bara en aning snabbare än Ryzen 7 4800H. Processorn har 400 MHz högre klockfrekvens (bas +14%) till 200 MHz (boost +5%), men ökningen beror till stor del på kylning och TDP-inställningar. Chippet bör vara jämförbart med Intels i9-9980HK. Detta innebär att Ryzen 9 4900H borde kunna hantera alla krävande uppgifter och spel.

Utöver de åtta CPU-kärnorna innehåller denna APU också ett integrerat Radeon RX Vega 8 grafikkort med 8 CU:s. Minneskontrollenheten har stöd för dubbla kanaler och DDR4-3200 minne samt energieffektivt LPDDR4-4266 minne.  Vidare har chippet 12 MB level 3-cache. TDP-värdet är specificerat till 45 Watt (som standard). Det innebär att chippet är för stora och relativt tunga laptops.
