AMD R7 PRO 4750U

AMD Ryzen 7 4750U är en processor för tunna och lätta bärbara datorer baserad på Renoir-arkitekturen. 4750U innehåller alla åtta kärnorna, baserade på mikroarkitekturen Zen 2. Den har en klockfrekvens på 1.7 GHz (garanterad basklockfrekvens) till 4.1 GHz (Turbo) med stöd för SMT / Hyperthreading (16 trådar). Chippet tillverkas av TSMC i en modern 7 nm-process, och i huvudsak tack vare det gör AMD reklam för att Renoir-chippen har dubbelt så hög prestanda per Watt. Jämfört med den snabbare R7 4800U har PRO 4750U en aningen lägre boost-klockfrekvens.

PRO-processorerna kommer med ett utbud av företagsfokuserade funktioner som hårdvarusäkerhet (t.ex. AMD Memory Guard), hantering (t.ex. stöd för Microsoft Endpoint Manager) samt längre tillgänglighet och mjukvarustabilitet.

Tack vare stöd för SMT borde Ryzen 7 PRO 4750U vara en aning snabbare för vissa typer av arbete än den konsumentfokuserade Ryzen 7 4700U. Men basklockfrekvensen är lägre, så en del arbete kan utföras långsammare.

Utöver åtta CPU-kärnor har APU:n också ett integrerat Radeon RX Vega 7 grafikkort med 7 CU:s och en klockfrekvens på upp till 1600 MHz. Minneskontrollenheten har stöd för dubbla kanaler, DDR4-3200 RAM samt energieffektivt LPDDR4-4266 RAM. Vidare har chippet 8 MB level 3-cache. APU:n har ett TDP-värde specificerat till 15 Watt (som standard) och går att konfigurera mellan 10 och 25 Watt av laptoptillverkaren. Detta innebär att chippet är tänkt att användas i tunna och lätta bärbara datorer (dock med fläktar).
