Qualcomm SD 8cx Gen 3

Qualcomm Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 Compute Platform är en ARM-baserad SoC för bärbara Windows-datorer. Den innehåller fyra stora ARM Cortex-X1-prestandakärnor (upp till 3 GHz) och fyra mindre ARM Cortex-A78 med upp till 2,4 GHz.

Compute Platform innehåller också ett Snapdragon X62 5G-modem med upp till 10 Gbps nedladdning och 316 Mbps uppladdning. Det integrerade WLAN-modemet stöder Wi-Fi 6E (2x2) och satellitpositioneringssystemet stöder BeiDou, Galileo, GLONASS, GPS, QZSS och SBAS. Den integrerade videomotorn stöder avkodning av H.264, H.265 och VP9 i 4K 120 fps.

Prestandan bör vara cirka 85 % snabbare för CPU och 60 % snabbare för GPU jämfört med den tidigare generationen (Snapdragon 8cx Gen 2).

Chipet tillverkas i den moderna 5nm-processen hos Samsung (5LPE) och är avsett för fläktlösa bärbara datorer (7 till 9 Watt TDP-intervall).
