Intel Core i9-12900H

Intel Core i9-12900H är en avancerad mobil CPU för bärbara datorer baserad på Alder Lake-arkitekturen. Den tillkännagavs i början av 2022 och har 6 prestandakärnor (P-kärnor, Golden Cove-arkitektur) och 8 effektiva kärnor (E-kärnor, Gracemont-arkitektur). P-kärnorna stöder Hyper-Threading vilket leder till 20 trådar när de kombineras med E-kärnorna. Klockfrekvensen varierar från 2,5 till 5 GHz i prestandaklustret och från 1,8 till 3,8 GHz i det effektiva klustret. Prestandan hos E-cores bör vara jämförbar med gamla Skylake-kärnor (jämför med Core i7-6920HQ). Alla kärnor kan använda upp till 24 MB L3-cache. Jämfört med 12900HKerbjuder 12900H inte den öppna multiplikatorn (för överklockning) men den fullständiga "Enterprise" uppsättningen av vPro-funktioner (för fjärrhantering).
Den integrerade minneskontrollern stöder olika minnestyper upp till DDR5-4800, DDR4-3200, LPDDR5-5200 och LPDDR4x-4267. Thread Director (i hårdvaran) kan hjälpa operativsystemet att bestämma vilken tråd som ska användas på prestandakärnorna eller de effektiva kärnorna för bästa prestanda. För AI-uppgifter integrerar processorn även GNA 3.0 och DL Boost (via AVX2). Quick Sync i version 8 är samma som i Rocket Lake-processorerna och stöder MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1-avkodning, JPEG, VP8-avkodning, VP9, HEVC och AV1-avkodning i hårdvara. CPU:n stöder endast PCIe 4.0 (x8 för en GPU och två x4 för SSD-enheter).
Det integrerade grafikkortet är baserat på Xe-arkitekturen och erbjuder 96 EUs (Execution Units) som arbetar med upp till 1,45 GHz.
Prestanda
Den genomsnittliga 12900H i vår databas visar sig vara en upprörande snabb CPU, som rippar Ryzen 9 6900HX i bitar när det gäller multi-thread benchmark-resultat. Kanske överraskande är i9:s flertrådsprestanda inte mycket högre än den för Core i7-12700Hvilket tyder på att den senare kan vara bättre för pengarna.
Med sin anständiga kyllösning och en långsiktig effektgräns på 110 W, är Asus StudioBook 16 H7600ZW en av de snabbaste bärbara datorer byggda kring i9-12900H som vi känner till. Den kan vara mer än 80% snabbare än det långsammaste systemet med samma chip i vår databas, beroende på omständigheterna.
Strömförbrukning
Core i9 har en "minsta garanterad" strömförbrukning på 35 W, med 45 W som basströmförbrukning. CPU:ns maximala Intel-rekommenderade Turbo-effektförbrukning ligger på 115 W.
I9-12900H är byggd med Intels 4:e generations 10 nm-process som marknadsförs som Intel 7 för lägre än genomsnittlig, från och med mitten av 2023, energieffektivitet.
