Intel Core i5-12500H
Intel Core i5-12500H är en högklassig processor för bärbara datorer som bygger på Alder Lake-arkitekturen. Den tillkännagavs i början av 2022 och erbjuder 4 av de 6 prestandakärnorna (P-kärnor, Golden Cove-arkitekturen) och alla 8 effektivitetskärnor (E-kärnor, Gracemont-arkitekturen). P-kärnorna stöder Hyper-Threading, vilket gör att antalet trådar som stöds blir 16 när de kombineras med E-kärnorna. Klockfrekvensen varierar från 2,5 till 4,5 GHz i högpresterande kluster och från 1,8 till 3,3 GHz i effektiva kluster. Prestandan hos E-kärnorna bör vara liknande den hos de äldre Skylake-kärnorna (jämför med Core i7-6700HQ). Alla kärnor kan använda upp till 18 MB L3-cache. Jämfört med 12600H erbjuder 12500H en basklocka för båda klustren, en lägre klockad iGPU och endast stöd för vPro "Essentials".
Prestanda
Tack vare de 10 kärnorna bör prestandan för flera trådar vara betydligt bättre än äldre Tiger Lake-H-processorer med liknande klockfrekvenser (särskilt Core i5-11500H med endast 6 kärnor). På grund av arkitektoniska förbättringar är prestandan för enstaka kärnor också bättre än liknande eller snabbare Tiger Lake-processorer. Jämfört med i5-12600H bör prestandan hos 12500H vara liknande.
Arkitektur
Den integrerade minneskontrollern stöder olika minnestyper upp till DDR5-4800, DDR4-3200, LPDDR5-5200 och LPDDR4x-4267. Thread Director (i maskinvaran) kan hjälpa operativsystemet att avgöra vilken tråd som ska användas på de effektiva eller högpresterande kärnorna för att få bästa möjliga prestanda. För AI-uppgifter har processorn också GNA 3.0 och DL Boost (via AVX2). Quick Sync version 8 är densamma som Rocket Lake-processorerna och stöder MPEG-2, AVC, VC-1, JPEG, VP8, VP9, HEVC och AV1-avkodning i maskinvara. CPU:n stöder endast PCIe 4.0 (x8 för en GPU och två x4 för SSD-enheter).
Det integrerade grafikkortet är baserat på Xe-arkitekturen och erbjuder 80 av de 96 UE:erna (exekveringsenheter) som körs på upp till 1,3 GHz.
Strömförbrukning
Den här Core i5-processorn har en garanterad lägsta energiförbrukning på 35 W. Dess basförbrukning är 45 W och dess maximala rekommenderade turboförbrukning är 95 W. Slutligen tillverkas i5-12500H på Intels tredje generationens 10nm-process, marknadsförd som Intel 7, för hygglig energieffektivitet.
