AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U
AMD Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U är en processor för tunna och lätta bärbara datorer baserad på Cezanne-generationen. R5 5650U integrerar sex av åtta kärnor baserade på Zen 3-mikroarkitekturen och är den tredje snabbaste processorn i U-serien vid lanseringen. Kärnorna är klockade på 2,3 (garanterad basklocka) till 4,2 GHz (Turbo) och har stöd för SMT/Hyperthreading (12 trådar). Chipet tillverkas i den moderna 7 nm-processen hos TSMC.
PRO CPU:erna erbjuder ytterligare funktioner för hantering och säkerhet. 5650U är i övrigt identisk med Ryzen 5 5600U.
Den nya Zen 3-mikroarkitekturen erbjuder en betydligt högre IPC (instruktioner per klocka) jämfört med Zen 2. För stationära processorer hävdar AMD 19 procent i genomsnitt och i applikationsgranskningar visade sig cirka 12 procent vinster vid samma klockfrekvens.
Med den ökade klockfrekvensen och IPC-förbättringarna tack vare Zen 3 bör Ryzen 5 PRO 5650U vara klart snabbare än den 200 MHz lägre klockade Ryzen 5 4500U.
Förutom de sex CPU-kärnorna integrerar APU:n även ett integrerat grafikkort Radeon RX Vega 7 med 7 CU:er och upp till 1800 MHz. Minneskontrollen med dubbla kanaler stöder DDR4-3200 och energieffektiva LPDDR4-4266 RAM-minnen. Dessutom finns 12 MB nivå 3-cache (upp från 8 MB på 4800U) på chippet.
APU:ns TDP är specificerad till 15 Watt (standard) och kan konfigureras från 10 till 25 Watt av bärbara datorleverantören (de flesta chip är konfigurerade högre än 15 Watt). Det betyder att chippet är avsett för tunna och lätta bärbara datorer (men med fläktar).
