Intel Core i9-11900K
Intel Core i9-11900K är en högkvalitativ processor för skrivbordssystem baserad på Rocket Lake-arkitekturen. Processorn har 8 kärnor och 16 trådar som klockas på 3,5 - 5,3 GHz (Turbo Boost 3.0 / TVB). Med Turbo Boost 2.0 kan 5,1 GHz uppnås med en enda tråd. Om man använder alla kärnor kan CPU:n klockas upp till 4,8 GHz. Adaptive Boost möjliggör ännu högre flerkärniga frekvenser (5,1 GHz all core Turbo) men använder mycket mer ström.
TDP är beräknad till 125 Watt (PL1, power limit sustained load) men PL2 är inställd på cirka 250 Watt för kortvariga boosts (upp till 56 sekunder).
Tack vare den snabbare kärnarkitekturen kan 11900K kompensera de två saknade kärnorna jämfört med Core i9-10900K. Applikationer med fokus på en tråd drar därför stor nytta av den förbättrade IPC:n. Spelprestanda förbättras endast något (beroende på spelet). Sammantaget ligger AMD Ryzen-modellerna med hög kärnkapacitet, som Ryzen 9 5900X, fortfarande i framkant när det gäller spel och tillämpningar.
Sunny Cove-processorkärnorna (kända från Ice Lake-mobilprocessorerna) erbjuder större cacheminnen och en förbättrad IPC (upp till 19 %). Dessutom innehåller chipet även (delvis) integrerat WiFi 6E och Thunderbolt 4. Plattformen har stöd för PCIe 4.0 och Intel DL Boost för AI-acceleration.
De snabbare Rocket Lake-S CPU:erna integrerar också en ny Intel UHD Graphics 750 som är baserad på den nuvarande Intel Xe-arkitekturen (t.ex. mobila Tiger Lake) och erbjuder 32 EUs. I 11900K är GPU:n klockad från 350 - 1300 MHz.
CPU:n tillverkas i den gamla 14nm-processen precis som Comet Lake- föregångarna. Strömförbrukningen är därför ganska hög, särskilt när man aktiverar Adaptive Boost.
