AMD Ryzen 9 5950X
AMD Ryzen 9 5950X är en avancerad 16-kärnig hypertrådad (SMT) desktop-processor från Vermeer-serien. Med 32 trådar har det nya flaggskeppet lika många trådar som AMD Ryzen 9 3950X. Den släpptes 8:e Oktober 2020. Ryzen 9 5950X är den snabbaste 16-kärniga processorn och har ett TDP-värde som värderats til 105 Watt.
Ryzen 9 5950X har en basklockfrekvens på 3.4 GHz och kan nå upp till 4.9 GHz i turboläge på en enkel kärna. När alla 16 kärnorna används når den upp till 4.5 GHz.
AMD Ryzen 9 5950X har konsekvent hög prestanda i alla applikationer och har förbättrats betydligt jämfört med AMD Ryzen 9 3950X. AMD har dessutom lyckats förbättra den enkeltrådade prestandan och den kan till och med slå Intel Core i9-10900K i den grenen. Den multitrådade prestandan är utmärkt tack vare de 16 kärnorna.
Vid en första anblick har processorns interna struktur inte ändrats i någon större utsträckning. CCX-strukturen har ändrats en aning jämfört med Zen2, för nu består en CCX av upp till 8 CPU-kärnor. Så varje individuell kärna har tillgång till den fullständiga L3-cachen (32 MByte). Vidare är CCX-modulerna anslutna till varandra genom samma I/O-sockel, vilket vi känner igen från Zen2. Enligt AMD bör Infinity-väven nu nå klockfrekvenser på upp till 2 GHz, vilket i sin tur möjliggör en RAM-klockfrekvens på 4000 MHz utan försämrad prestanda.
AMD förlitar sig på TSMC även för produktionen av Vermeer-processorerna, vars kärnor tillverkas i 7 nm, även om I/O-sockeln fortfarande produceras i 12 nm av GlobalFoundries.
AMD Ryzen 9 5950X imponerar konsekvent i spel tack vare betydligt bättre IPC och kan lätt slå AMD Ryzen 9 5900X.
