Intel i7-10810U

Intel Core i7-10810U är en strömsnål sexkärnig SoC för bärbara datorer baserad på Comet Lake-generationen (CML-U) och dök upp i mars 2020. Jämfört med liknande Whiskey Lake-processorer (t.ex. Core i5-8665U) är den enda skillnaden stöd för högre minneshastigheter (DDR4-2666 mot 2400) och två extra kärnor i toppmodellen. Processorkärnorna är klockade mellan 1,1 och 4,9 GHz. Processorn stöder professionella hanteringsfunktioner vPro (som en skillnad mot i7-10710U).

Tack vare de två extra kärnorna och den höga klockfrekvensen är processorns prestanda för i7-10710U mycket bra för sin klass. Den bör överträffa de bästa Whiskey Lake- och även Ice Lake-processorerna om inställningarna för kylning och TDP inte är begränsande.

Det integrerade grafikkortet är dock fortfarande detsamma som i de tidigare generationerna. Det ska fortfarande heta Intel HD Graphics 620 och klockas från 300 - 1150 MHz i i7. Vidare integrerar SoC:n en VP9- och H.265-de- och -kodare samt en integrerad dubbelkanals DDR4-2666 / LPDDR4x 2933 / LPDDR3-2133 minneskontroller.

Chippet tillverkas fortfarande i 14nm++-processen som Whiskey Lake. TDP (PL1) är specificerad till 15 watt men kan varieras från 12,5 till 25 watt från tillverkaren (cTDP up/down) vilket resulterar i olika prestanda (särskilt Turbo-durationer). För att ge full prestanda föreslår Intel en kort effekttopp på 90 W (PL4) för i7 och därmed 8 W mer än de fyrkärniga CML-U CPU:erna och hela 19 W mer än Whiskey Lake. Därför kommer vissa tunna bärbara datorer med 15 W CML-U CPU:er inte att erbjuda i7 eftersom de inte kan tillhandahålla tillräckligt med kraft och kylning för att få ut full prestanda ur de sex kärnorna.
