Intel Celeron N5095
Intel Celeron N5095 är en fyrkärnig SoC i Jasper Lake-produktfamiljen som är utformad för prisvärda stationära och bärbara datorer i SFF-format. Celeron tillkännagavs i början av 2021. Den har fyra Tremont CPU-kärnor som körs på 2 GHz (basklockfrekvens) Boost upp till 2,9 GHz (single-core Boost) med 1,5 MB L2-cache och 4 MB L3-cache men inget tråddubblande Hyper-Threading-stöd. En N5095 tillverkas på den första generationens 10 nm Intel-process inte olikt Ice Lake-U Core i3/i5/i7-processorerna. Den snabbare Celeron N5105 är anmärkningsvärd för att vara mer energieffektiv (10 W TDP jämfört med 15 W för N5095) men har samtidigt en snabbare iGPU (24 EUs jämfört med 16 EUs, klockad 50 MHz högre också).
Tremont-arkitekturen innebär många förbättringar jämfört med den utgående Goldmont-arkitekturen som används i Pentium N5030 och så många andra CPU:er i N-serien. Enligt Intel har prestandan för en tråd ökat med upp till 30 % (med +10 % till +80 % i SPECint och SPECfp beroende på testet).
De tidigare Celerons och Pentiums i N-serien fick nöja sig med upp till 8 GB DDR4-2400, men en N5095 är officiellt kompatibel med upp till 16 GB DDR4-2933 eller LPDDR4x-2933 dubbelkanals RAM. Stödet för Wi-Fi 6 (Gig+) är delvis inbakat i chipet. En N5095 stöder upp till 8 PCI-Express 3.0-vägar, upp till 14 USB 2.0/3.2-portar och upp till två SATA III-portar. Jasper Lake-processorpaketet är större än Gemini Lake-processorerna (35 x 24 mm jämfört med 25 x 24 mm). En N5095 löds fast direkt på moderkortet (BGA1338-sockel) och är extremt svår att byta ut.
Boosthållbarheten beror mycket på kylsystemets prestanda samt TDP-inställningarna. Med detta i åtanke bör en N5095 vara något snabbare än den äldre Pentium N5030 tack vare förbättringarna i CPU-arkitekturen och den högre wattförbrukningen. En Athlon 3050e kommer sannolikt också att vara betydligt långsammare än Celeron. Pentium N6000 har å andra sidan högre klockfrekvenser och en snabbare iGPU så den kommer att kunna överglänsa Celeron i de flesta arbetsbelastningar. Vi förväntar oss att Celeron inte heller kommer att släpa efter fyrkärniga Core i3/i5/i7-processorer i Tiger Lake-U- och Ice Lake-U-familjerna, trots de arkitektoniska förbättringarna. På det hela taget kommer processorn att kämpa med allt annat än grundläggande uppgifter som ordbehandling och webbsurfning.
Förutom de fyra CPU-kärnorna har CPU:n den DirectX 12-kapabla UHD Graphics (16 EUs) iGPU:n som är klockad på 450 MHz till 750 MHz. Vi förväntar oss att grafikkortet ska leverera spelprestanda som ligger nära UHD Graphics 620. UHD Graphics är visserligen inte alls en spel-GPU, men den kan driva upp till tre skärmar med upplösningar på upp till 4096x2160. Den kommer att ha små problem med HW-dekodning av AVC-, HEVC- och VP9-videoströmmar, men inte AV1-videoströmmar.
Celeron- och Pentium-processorerna i N-serien tenderar att ha en TDP på 6 W. En N5095 har dock en TDP på 15 watt, vilket inte skiljer sig från de snabbare Core i3/i5/i7-processorerna i U-serien. Hållbar prestanda kommer sannolikt att bli ett problem i passivt kylda installationer, vilket skulle kunna göra processorn impopulär bland tillverkare av bärbara datorer och surfplattor.
