Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G
Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 5G Mobile Platform (SM8250-AC) är en SoC för avancerade smartphones och surfplattor som Qualcomm tillkännagav i mitten av 2021. SoC:n integrerar en snabb "Prime Core" som klockar upp till 3,2 GHz och tre ytterligare ARM Cortex-A77-prestandakärnor som kan nå upp till 2,42 GHz. Dessa kompletteras av fyra energisparande ARM Cortex-A55-kärnor som klockar upp till maximalt 1,8 GHz. Jämfört med den liknande och äldre Snapdragon 865+ klockar Prime Core 100 MHz snabbare och GPU:n är något högre klockad.
Därför är Snapdragon 870 något snabbare än de gamla Snapdragon 865 och 865 Plus och placerar sig bakom den avancerade Snapdragon 888.
Mobilplattformen integrerar ett Qualcomm X55 5G-modem med stöd för Sub-5 och mmWave och globala 5G-band med upp till 7,5 GBit/s (nedladdning) hastighet. SmartConnect 6800-modemet stöder Wi-Fi 6 med 8x8 MU-MIMU och 60 GHz 11ay upp till 10 Gbit/s.
Den integrerade GPU:n heter fortfarande Adreno 650 och erbjuder en något högre klockfrekvens på 670 MHz.
Den inbyggda Hexagon 698 DSP:n erbjuder nu en KI-prestanda på upp till 15 TOPS (upp från 7 TOPS i 855) och använder fortfarande en kombination av CPU-, GPU-, HVX- och Tensor-kärnor. Spectra 480 ISP är också orörd. Den integrerade Computer Vision Engine (CV-ISP) har nu stöd för Dolby Vision, 8K-videor och foton med 200 megapixel.
Den inbyggda minneskontrollern stöder LPDDR5 med upp till 2 750 MHz och LPDDR4X med 2 133 MHz.
SoC:n tillverkas i den moderna och strömsnåla 7nm-processen.
