Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G
Qualcomm Snapdragon 778G 5G (SDM778G 5G Mobile Platform) är en snabb ARM-baserad SoC i mellanklass som främst återfinns i Android-tabletter och smartphones. Den integrerar åtta kärnor (octa-core) uppdelade i två kluster. Ett kluster med snabb prestanda med fyra kärnor baserade på ARM Cortex-A78-arkitekturen med upp till 2,4 GHz och ett kluster för energieffektivitet med fyra små ARM Cortex-A55-kärnor på upp till 1,8 GHz. Beroende på arbetsbelastningen kan endast enskilda kluster eller alla kärnor köras med olika klockfrekvenser.
Tack vare de nya Cortex-A78-kärnorna ökar CPU-prestandan med upp till 40 % jämfört med den gamla Snapdragon 768G enligt Qualcomm. I våra riktmärken kan 778G nå upp till prestandan hos det gamla high end-chippet Kirin 990.
Det integrerade X53 5G-modemet stöder upp till 3,3 Gbps med sub 6Ghz. FastConnect 6900 Wi-Fi-modemet stöder den nuvarande Wi-Fi-standarden 6e med 6 GHz.
Den integrerade Qualcomm Adreno 642L erbjuder 40 % högre prestanda jämfört med den gamla Adreno 620 i föregångaren. Detta är delvis tack vare den snabba minneskontrollern med stöd för LPDDR5-3200.
Den integrerade 6:e generationens AI-motor kallad Hexagon 770 erbjuder en 2x förbättring och upp till 12 TOPS högre prestanda. Spectra 570 ISP (bildsignalprocessor) stöder upp till tre kameror. Satellitsystemet stöder alla viktiga standarder som Beidou, Galileo, GLONASS och GPS.
G anger en optimerad SoC för spel och t.ex. Qualcomm erbjuder uppdateringar för grafikdrivrutinen.
Snapdragon 778G tillverkas i den moderna 6 nm-processen hos TSMC (jämfört med 5LPE för 780G).
