NVIDIA Quadro 5000M

NVIDIA Quadro 5000M är ett grafikkort för professionella arbetsstationer baserat på Fermi-arkitekturen. Därför är 5000M besläktad med den GF100-baserade konsumentkretsen GeForce GTX 480M, som har fler CUDA-kärnor. Quadro är den första mobila GPU:n med ECC RAM och double precision floating point-kärnor.

Quadro-serien kopplas till certifierade drivrutiner som är optimerade för stabilitet och prestanda i professionella applikationer som CAD, DCC, medicin, eller visualisering. OpenGL-prestandan bör till exempel vara betydligt bättre än liknande grafikkort ur GeForce-serien.

CUDA-kärnorna kan sättas i arbete med hjälp av DirectX 11 eller OpenGL 4.1 för grafikrendering och DirectCompute, OpenCL, AXE och CUDA för generella beräkningar (GPGPU). På grund av den nya Fermi-kärnan bör 5000M leverera hög prestanda i generella beräkningar.

Nvidia Quadro 5000M är dessutom kompatibel med den professionella stereoskopiska lösningen från Nvidia: NVIDIA 3D Vision Pro.

Precis som GeForce GTX 480M har Quadro 5000M en strömförbrukning på 100 Watt TDP och kan därför endast husera i stora bärbara datorer som Clevo D901F.

När kortet lanserades (i mitten av 2010) var Quadro 5000M den snabbaste mobila grafiklösningen för professionella arbetsstationer grafikkort och efterföljde det äldre GeForce FX 3800M (G92b-kärnan). Jämfört med stationära Quadro-kort har Quadro 5000 (utan "M") fler kärnor och förmodligen en högre klockfrekvens.
