Apple M3 Max 40-Core GPU
Apple M2 Max 38-Core-GPU är ett integrerat grafikkort från Apple som erbjuder alla 38 kärnor i M2 Max-chipet .
Grafikkortet har inget dedikerat grafikminne men kan använda det snabba LPDDR5-6400 unified-minnet med en 512 bitars buss (upp till 400 GBit/s).
Tack vare de extra kärnorna och arkitektoniska förbättringarna bör M2 Max GPU klart överträffa den gamla M1 Max GPU med 32 kärnor och därmed vara den snabbaste iGPU som för närvarande finns tillgänglig.
GPU:n är avsedd att använda Apple Metal 2 API och kan fortfarande vara baserad på de äldre PowerVR-arkitekturerna (som senast användes i Apple A10). En ny funktion i MacBook Pro 14 och 16 från 2023 är stödet för HDMI 2.1 och 8k-utgång.
Apple M2 Max tillverkas i den andra generationens 5nm-process hos TSMC. Enligt det interna powermetrics-verktyget använder GPU:n upp till 53,6 watt (prestandaläge) och hela chipet (inklusive CPU:n) upp till 89 watt.
