Recension av Dell Pro 7 14 P714260: Att hålla sig till Intel har sina fördelar

Core Ultra 7 366H jämfört med Ryzen AI 9 HX 470.

Dells främsta affärsdator Pro 7 14 finns i både AMD- och Intel-versioner med mycket liknande prisnivåer. Efter att ha testat båda finns det dock inget fel val för de flesta användare, såvida man inte föredrar vissa specifika egenskaper.

Slutsats – Mer mångsidig till ungefär samma pris

För de flesta användare är skillnaderna mellan AMD- och Intel-versionerna av Dell Pro 7 14 relativt små. Båda är kraftfulla system för sin storlek med vPro/PRO-säkerhet, utmärkt batteritid, nästan identiska skärmalternativ och priser samt samma skrivupplevelse. För den lilla grupp användare där små detaljer kan spela roll har dock Intel-versionerna en liten fördel.

Jämfört med AMD-konfigurationerna erbjuder Intel-versionen något snabbare grafikprestanda, stöd för PCIe5 SSD, ännu längre batteritid och förbättrade dockningsmöjligheter med Thunderbolt 4. Dessa fördelar gör Intel-alternativen mer mångsidiga när det gäller resor och dockning, särskilt för användare som ständigt rör sig mellan flera skrivbord, externa skärmar eller eGPU-konfigurationer.

Den råa processorkapaciteten är något långsammare med Intel-chipet, men de fördelar som nämns ovan kan göra att det är värt att ta den här kompromissen för vissa användningsscenarier.

I framtida versioner skulle vi gärna se fler 1600p-skärmalternativ med OLED eller pekskärm, eftersom sådana finesser för närvarande är begränsade till 1200p. En lägre totalvikt kan också vara en fördel, eftersom vissa konkurrenter, såsom Asus ExpertBook Ultra eller Lenovo ThinkPad T14s, båda väger några hundra gram mindre.
