Intel Core Ultra 5 338H med Arc B370
Vi fick chansen att testa prestandan hos den nya Intel Core Ultra 5 338H inklusive Arc B370 GPU med 10 Xe-kärnor i några benchmarks. Resultaten är mycket lovande och prestandaskillnaden jämfört med Arc B390 är liten.

Vi har redan tittat närmare på Intels nya Panther Lake-arkitektur och analyserat både prestandan och effektiviteten hos de nya processorerna och den snabba Arc B390 iGPU. Resultatet blev en massiv ökning av GPU-prestandan jämfört med tidigare integrerade GPU:er som Intel Arc Graphics 140V/140T eller AMD:s Radeon 890M. Alla riktmärken kombinerade kan du se en fördel på cirka 70 %.

Våra tester var begränsade till CPU-modeller med den snabbaste Arc B390 GPU:n vid lanseringen, men nu har vi även haft möjlighet att utföra några tester med Arc B370. Vår testenhet var ett ingenjörsexemplar, där processorn kördes med en stadig effektgräns på 35 watt.

Core Ultra 5 338H har 12 kärnor, inklusive fyra snabba prestandakärnor som klockas till 4,7 GHz. Den integrerade GPU:n är Arc B370, som har 10 Xe-kärnor och därmed två färre jämfört med Arc B390. Den maximala GPU-klockan är också något lägre på 2,4 jämfört med 2,5 GHz. Precis som modellerna med Arc B390 GPU är Core Ultra 5 338H endast tillgänglig med RAM-minne (upp till 8533 MHz).

CPU-prestanda

När vi tittar på processorprestanda presterar den nya Core Ultra 5 338H bra och är ungefär i nivå med den nya AMD Ryzen AI 9 465 med jämförbara TDP-värden (45/35W), som vi testade i Asus Zenbook S16. Intel ligger något före i enkärniga tester, medan AMD-chipet erbjuder bättre flerkärnig prestanda.

GPU-prestanda

Som väntat får Arc B370 se sig slagen av Arc B390 i de syntetiska benchmarks, men effektbegränsningarna spelar också en roll här och det kommer vi att titta närmare på i nästa avsnitt. Resultaten för Arc B370 är generellt sett mycket lovande och det finns en stor fördel jämfört med tidigare iGPU:er från Intel (Arc Graphics 140V/140T) och AMD (Radeon 890M).

Vi tittade också på prestandan vid lägre TDP-värden. Prestandan hos Arc B370 är praktiskt taget identisk med Arc B390 vid 20 watt, medan underskottet bara är 6 % vid 35 watt.

Inledande intryck

Det första intrycket av den nya Core Ultra 5 338H med Arc B370 GPU är positivt. Den övergripande CPU-prestandan (enkel- och flerkärnig kombinerat) är i nivå med den nya AMD Ryzen AI 9 465 vid liknande TDP-konfigurationer. Arc B370 fortsätter det goda intrycket från Arc B390 och den övergripande skillnaden är inte så stor i TDP-intervallet upp till 35 watt som vi har kunnat testa hittills. Prestandadeltat kommer förmodligen att vara lite större vid högre effektgränser.

Vi får vänta lite längre på mer omfattande tester och vi förväntar oss de första detaljhandelsenheterna med den nya Core Ultra 5 338H och Arc B370 inom de närmaste veckorna.
