Nightsky ARX15 får inte förväxlas med Nightsky RX15, utan använder AMD-processorer för stationära datorer och har ett annat chassi än sin motsvarighet från Intel. Enbart dess pappersspecifikationer borde göra ARX15 till en av de snabbaste bärbara 15,6-tumsdatorer du kan köpa när det gäller rå CPU-prestanda. Konfigurationen vi har i recensionen säljs för cirka 3400 USD med mycket lägre eller högre priser tillgängliga beroende på lagring.

Anslutningsmöjligheter

Visa

Nightsky ARX15 använder en mycket likadan Sharp LQ156M1JW03 IPS-panel som den som finns på MSI GE66 eller MSI GE66 Delta 15. Därför är tittarupplevelsen nästan identisk mellan dessa tre modeller med sina 240 Hz uppdateringsfrekvenser, kontrastförhållanden på ~1000:1, full sRGB-täckning, snabba svarstider och till och med liknande pulsbreddsmoduleringsfrekvenser. Det är en högklassig panel med utmärkta attribut även om dess färger och kontrast inte riktigt kan nå upp till samma nivåer som OLED-paneler.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Prestandan för flera trådar är en besvikelse jämfört med vår desktop Ryzen 9 5900X referens. Vår Eurocom Ryzen 9 5900X är konsekvent långsammare med cirka 30-40 procent för att ligga mer i linje med mobiltelefonen Ryzen 9 5900HX.

Eurocom erbjuder ett brett urval av NVMe SSD-diskar från bara 250 GB upp till 8 TB. Vår enhet har konfigurerats medSamsung SSD 980 Pro som är en PCIe4 x4 NVMe SSD som kan överföra upp till 7000 MB/s. Tyvärr är M.2-platserna på Nightsky ARX15 endast PCIe3 x4 och överföringshastigheterna blir därför mycket långsammare, upp till cirka 3200 MB/s. Du kanske vill spara lite pengar och bara konfigurera med billigare PCIe3-enheter eftersom moderkortet inte fullt ut kan utnyttja prestandafördelarna med dyrare PCIe4-enheter.
