Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

The frequency of 458.7 Hz is relatively high, so most users sensitive to PWM should not notice any flickering. However, there are reports that some users are still sensitive to PWM at 500 Hz and above, so be aware.

OnePlus 8T kommer med små förbättringar till vad som redan var en riktigt bra föregångare. Som exempel har den en skärm med 120 Hz bilduppdatering, en makrokamera med högre upplösning och en extra lins som ger mer data åt foton. Trots detta kan kameran ändå inte riktigt jämföras med dyrare toppskiktskonkurrenter då bilderna saknar detaljskärpa. 

Vi var riktigt nöjda över den höga och strypningsfria prestandan, den exakta positioneringen, den riktigt snabba laddningen samt skärmens exakta kalibrering. Den nya mjukvaran är trevlig och ger många fler inställningar samtidigt som den är lätt att använda för Android-veteraner.

Den blir lite för varm för vår smak och stereohögtalaren ger bara medelmåttig ljudkvalitet. Den har heller inte riktigt lika snabbt WiFi som på andra WiFi 6-enheter. Dessutom får man vara utan trådlös laddning och IP-certifiering. 

OnePlus 8T skippar de flesta toppskikts-påfund och fokuserar på kärnan: mycket kraft och anslutningsmöjligheter till ett överkomligt pris.

Om du letar efter den bästa smartphone-kameran är nog inte OnePlus 8T för dig. Även om den kan ta skapliga toppskiktsbilder finns det andra som gör detta bättre. Om du däremot vill ha bästa möjliga prestanda och utmärkta anslutningsmöjligheter till lägsta möjliga pris har du hittat rätt.
