Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

The frequency of 258 Hz is relatively high, so most users sensitive to PWM should not notice any flickering. However, there are reports that some users are still sensitive to PWM at 500 Hz and above, so be aware.

In comparison: 50 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 18300 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 2500000) Hz was measured.

Display Response Times

Display response times show how fast the screen is able to change from one color to the next. Slow response times can lead to afterimages and can cause moving objects to appear blurry (ghosting). Gamers of fast-paced 3D titles should pay special attention to fast response times.

OnePlus 8 Pro är en utmärkt smartphone som fortfarande är relativt billig jämfört med andra moderna flaggskepp med tanke på vilka funktioner den erbjuder. Men trots det har OnePlus nästan nått nivån på 10.000 kronor, vilket gör OnePlus 8 Pro till en billigare toppskiktstelefon med utmärkt funktionalitet snarare än ett billigt flaggskepp.

Funktionerna inkluderar en utmärkt 120 Hz-skärm, som blir otroligt ljusstark och har stöd för HDR10+. OnePlus har dessutom kalibrerat skärmen tillräckligt bra för att den ska passa professionella bildbehandlingsprogram. Dessutom gör sampling-frekvensen på 240 Hz att den tryckkänsliga skärmen känns otroligt snabb.

Nya funktioner och ett nytt pris: OnePlus 8 Pro erbjuder toppmodern teknik, men OnePlus telefoner är inte längre billiga.

Höga prestandasiffror, ingen strypning och inga fler krascher vid ihållande belastning kombineras med godkänd batteritid, snabb laddning, aktuell mjukvara och snabbare lagring. Vad mer kan man önska sig? Tja, OnePlus skulle kunna förbättra samtalskvaliteten och sänka yttemperaturerna, som fortfarande är en aning höga.

Totalt sett har OnePlus dock skapat en utmärkt flaggskeppstelefon som nu också har uppfyllt en del önskningar från sina fans som IP-certifiering och trådlös laddning.
