Its supremely lightweight yet durable design remains a defining characteristic, making it astonishingly easy to carry for a 17-inch system. Factor in the vibrant touch-screen display, comfortable keyboard, and long-lasting battery, along with its cutting-edge Copilot+ AI PC features, and you have a machine that promises a premium, future-forward user experience. However, that extreme portability compromises performance compared with many direct competitors. This trade-off is clearer in more demanding tasks, in which other systems with similar specs pull ahead.

Despite its faults, the LG Gram 17 is still a great laptop for what it offers. The 17-inch display delivers a sizable canvas, and its performance and battery life make it perfect for everyday work. Lowering the price by $200-$300 would make this an easy recommendation. That said, you’ll be hard-pressed to find such a lightweight 17-inch notebook. If that’s important to you, then the LG Gram 17 won’t disappoint. However, if you’re looking for better performance, battery life and display quality, there are better options out there.

LG's Gram 17 is an incredibly thin and light laptop, and the addition of the Intel Core Ultra 7 "Lunar Lake" processor completes the picture with a direct improvement in ways consumers will care about. The $1,700 price point is on the high end, but this laptop is an engineering statement. You will not find a thinner, lighter, 17-inch laptop out there. The LG Gram Pro 17 will cost around $400 more, but it offers a more powerful processor, bigger battery, and more premium build. Just for clarity, that means it is over the $2,000 mark. For most users, however, the base model Gram 17 is a solid choice for consumers who love a big display and impressive form factor.

Intel Arc 140V: Ett ganska snabbt integrerat grafikkort som vissa Intel Lunar Lake-processorer enligt uppgift använder. 140V har 8 Xe²-arkitekturkärnor som körs i upp till 2 050 MHz och 8 strålspårningsenheter; det är DirectX 12 Ultimate-aktiverat och det stöder också alla moderna videocodecs. Om de senaste läckorna av benchmarkresultat är någon indikation, kommer dess spelprestanda att vara något bättre än GeForce MX570.

Det här är mindre avancerade grafikkort för användare som ändå vill kunna spela spel. Nya spel bör vara spelbara, men ofta bara med låga detaljinställningar och låg upplösning. Eftersom moderna grafikkort i den här klassen har låg strömförbrukning kan även batteritiden vara bra.
