The ASUS ZenBook 14 is one nice ultraportable, with a design that looks way more premium than its RM2999 price tag, and a good display to boot. The unfortunate part is that you can’t really use the sweet screen for much due to the limited 6GB of RAM available. With it being non-upgradable, it really is a pity that this laptop is held back by such a simple handicap. If you plan on using the ASUS ZenBook 14 UM431D for less RAM-hogging applications, it might be a decent choice, as you really don’t get such pretty laptops at this sub-RM3000 price point.

At Rs 59,990, the Asus ZenBook 14 is a decent offering and is able to compete with a lot of slim and light offerings currently in the market including the MacBook Air and the Lenovo Ideapad S540. It is quite a good laptop and might have been able to take the all-rounder tag if it wasn’t for a few quirks. If you are in the market for a thin and light laptop, the Asus ZenBook 14 UM431 is quite a good option. However, if gaming is a requirement, I would recommend that you try and find another option, with better cooling capabilities and a more airy design.

Given that the new AMD Ryzen-powered Asus ZenBook 14 is entering the market at Rs 59,990 when the refreshed ZenBook 14 with an Intel 8th Gen Core i5 CPU and ScreenPad 2.0 is selling on Amazon.in for Rs 75,990, I expected some visible compromises in screen quality, perhaps audio, and overall performance. But to my pleasant surprise, that is not the case with the new Asus entrant. Except for a few design niggles here or there (small keys and loose touchpad, for example), the new Asus ZenBook 14 is perfect all around.

With great design and nano edge display and good performance coupled with decent battery life, the Zenbook 14 UM431DA is a good option for anyone looking for a premium experience at a lesser price . The cons of the laptop include, no USB type A 3.1 gen 2 ports and it ships with older generation. Also, there is no USB Type C charging option available. Otherwise, the Zenbook 14 UM431DA is a great option at this price segment.

Det här är mindre avancerade grafikkort för användare som ändå vill kunna spela spel. Nya spel bör vara spelbara, men ofta bara med låga detaljinställningar och låg upplösning. Eftersom moderna grafikkort i den här klassen har låg strömförbrukning kan även batteritiden vara bra.
