Acer Nitro 16 AN16-41 Recension: Prisvärd bärbar gamingdator med RTX 4050 och långa drifttider

Hållbar. En Ryzen 5 7535HS, GeForce RTX 4050, USB 4 och en ljus 16:10-skärm (16 tum, WUXGA, 165 Hz, G-Sync) är höjdpunkterna i den relativt billiga (1 250 €) Nitro 16. Under rätt förhållanden överträffas de redan mycket bra batteritiderna för föregångaren ytterligare. Denna recension utvärderar prestanda och andra egenskaper hos denna alternativa konfiguration.

Med ett pris på strax under 1 250 euro tillhör den nuvarande konfigurationen av Acer Nitro 16 det lägre prissegmentet för bärbara speldatorer. Vår Nitro 16-enhet drivs av en AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS APU och en Nvidia GeForce RTX 4050 bärbar GPU.

Skärmen visar en hyfsad färgåtergivning från fabrik - med en avvikelse på ca 4,7 är målet (DeltaE < 3) inte exakt matchat. En kalibrering minskar avvikelsen till 2,68 och säkerställer mer balanserade gråskalenivåer. Panelen kan helt återge sRGB-färgskalan men inte Adobe RGB och Display P3-färgrymderna.

Detta är fallet för WQXGA-panelen i onitro 16-varianten, liksom skärmarna hos de flesta konkurrenter. Endast skärmen i XMG Focus 15 erbjuder bra DCI-P3-täckning.

Display response times show how fast the screen is able to change from one color to the next. Slow response times can lead to afterimages and can cause moving objects to appear blurry (ghosting). Gamers of fast-paced 3D titles should pay special attention to fast response times.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

In comparison: 53 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 17853 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 3846000) Hz was measured.

IPS-panelen ger stabila betraktningsvinklar som kan läsas från alla positioner. Panelens ljusstyrka är tillräckligt bra för läsbarhet utomhus om solen inte skiner för starkt.

Testförhållanden

Av de sex tillverkarspecifika prestandalägena (se tabell nedan) användes lägena "Balanserad" (för benchmarks) och "Eco" (för batteritester). "Turbo" och "Performance" är endast tillgängliga vid nätdrift (batterinivå > 30%). En knapp ovanför tangentbordet gör det möjligt att växla mellan lägena. Alternativt kan detta göras via NitroSense-programvaran (kontrollcenter på den bärbara datorn). En LED indikerar det aktiva läget.

Obs: Medan andra Nitro 16 modell testades med Optimus-läget aktivt, används dGPU-läget (= iGPU är inaktiverat) på den aktuella testenheten. Batteritesterna är dock ett undantag. Benchmarkresultaten är därför inte alltid direkt jämförbara.

Ryzen 5 Ryzen 5 7535HSaPU (Zen 3+, Rembrandt-R) erbjuder sex CPU-kärnor med totalt 12 trådar vid en maximal single-core boost på 4,55 GHz. CPU:n bekräftar permanent multitrådbelastning (CB15 Loop) med en konstant hög turboklocka - oavsett vilket systemläge som valts. Skillnaderna mellan lägena är små.

Inte överraskande, Ryzen 7 APU i systermodell bättre prestanda för flera trådar - den har trots allt 8 CPU-kärnor. När det gäller single-thread-prestanda, som är mer relevant vid daglig användning, är APU: erna nästan på nivå.

Spelprestanda

Hårdvaran är utformad för FHD-spel med höga till maximala inställningar. Höga bildfrekvenser vid skärmens FHD-upplösning kan därmed utnyttjas till fullo, och bildfrekvenser över det fastställda RTX 4050-genomsnittet uppnås.

Nvidias DLSS-teknik kan ge en ökning av bildfrekvensen. Om den är aktiv beräknar GPU:n ett spel i en lägre upplösning och skalar sedan upp det till önskad upplösning via AI. DLSS måste uttryckligen stödjas av ett spel. Vi testade några motsvarande titlar på provbasis.

Stresstestet (Prime95 och Furmark i kontinuerlig drift) är ett extremt scenario för att testa systemets stabilitet under full belastning. Processorn startar stresstestet med klockfrekvenser på 4,1 till 4,2 GHz, grafikkärnan körs på 2,3 till 2,4 GHz. Stresstestet och Witcher 3 -testet körs med konstant strömförbrukning. Den medföljande strömförsörjningen (230 W) kan driva den bärbara datorn fullt ut under belastning.

Batteriets livslängd

Nitro 16 uppnår körtider på 11:00 h och 10:50 h i WLAN-testet (ringer upp webbplatser via ett skript) respektive videotestet (kortfilm Big Buck Bunny FHD H.264-kodning i en loop). Under båda testerna är notebookens energisparfunktioner inaktiverade och skärmens ljusstyrka är inställd på ca 150 cd/m². De trådlösa modulerna är också inaktiverade för videotestet.

Obs: Nitro visar en ökad strömförbrukning i batteriläge under Windows 11 (Acer-installation, egen installation). Som en följd av detta ligger körtiderna lägre än för systermodellen (WLAN: 5,5 vs. 9 h) med samma batterikapacitet. Därför bestämdes körtiderna under Windows 10. Problemet uppstår inte här.

Vi kan inte ange någon orsak till den ökade energiförbrukningen. Det kan vara ett problem med vår testenhet.

Acer Nitro 16 är utformad för FHD-spel med höga till maximala inställningar men gör också en bra figur inom andra områden (videoredigering, rendering). DenRyzen 5 7535HS och GeForce RTX 4050ger den prestanda som krävs, och CPU och GPU kan arbeta med konstant höga klockfrekvenser.

Acer presenterar en väl avrundad spelbärbar dator i nybörjarsegmentet med Nitro 16.

Överraskande nog värms den bärbara datorn upp mer under belastning än dess systermodell utrustad med mer kraftfull hårdvara. Nitro-modellerna har inte mycket gemensamt när det gäller bullerutveckling. Läget "Balanserad" ger ett måttligt bakgrundsljud.

16-tumsskärmen (WUXGA) är knappast sämre än panelen (WQXGA) i systermodellen. Den senare erbjuder en högre maximal ljusstyrka (400 nits vs. 500 nits). De redan goda körtiderna för Ryzen 7 Nitro överträffas av den nuvarande modellen, även om det bara är under Windows 10. Lagringskapaciteten (512 GB) är i minsta laget för en gaming notebook.

Ett alternativ kan hittas i Asus TUF A15 FA507. Den erbjuder mer CPU-prestanda med något bättre batteritider. Den Gigabyte G7 KE skulle vara ett budgetalternativ där en lägre prestandanivå skulle kompenseras av ett lägre inköpspris (1 050 €). Ett Windows-operativsystem ingår dock inte i leveransen.
