AMD:s nya skrivbords-processorer: Ryzen 5 2600 and Ryzen 7 2700

AMD har optimerat Zen-arkitekturen på många områden, vilket säkrar en totalt sett skaplig prestandaökning. Den nya arkitekturen Zen+ erbjuder betydligt bättre IPC. Det är inte bara dom nya flaggskeppen som drar nytta av det utan även dom energieffektiva Ryzen 5 2600- och Ryzen 7 2700-processorerna. Med en TDP på 65 watt så erbjuder dessa två CPU:er bra prestanda. Den som vill bygga ett energieffektivt system men ändå inte vill vara utan prestanda kommer tjänas bra av dom nya Ryzen-modellerna. 

I en direkt jämförelse så har dom nyss testade Ryzen 5 2600X och Ryzen 7 2700X aningen bättre prestanda. Pris/prestanda-kronan går till Ryzen 5 2600, då utgångspriset är mycket rimliga ~1 950 kr.

Med arkitekturen Zen+ tar AMD igen gentemot Coffee Lake-processorerna. Detta kommer i huvudsak att göra slutanvändarna nöjda då konkurrens som bekant är bra för affärerna. Genom förbättringar i Zen-arkitekturen så har AMD lyckats förbättra både enkelkärnig och flerkärnig prestanda betydligt. Ryzen 5 2600 och Ryzen 7 2700 kompletterar den nya serien bra, och med dessa två erbjuder AMD två väldigt energieffektiva men ändå snabba processorer.

Dom nya Ryzen-processorerna behöver inte nödvändigtvis ett moderkort med det nya X470-chippet. Men för att använda alla nya funktioner så borde det egentligen vara ett modernt moderkort baserat på X470-chippet. Den som fortfarande har ett moderkort med X370-chippet borde se till att ha den senaste BIOS-versionen. Vid köp så erbjuder större hårdvarubutiker hjälp med BIOS-uppdatering.

Generellt så övertygar dom två Ryzen-processorerna oss både i fråga om prestanda och energiförbrukning. Även om det förstås är logiskt att skicka med en kylenhet så är prestandan man får från Wraith-Stealth knappt är tillräcklig. AMD borde även ha utrustat Ryzen 5 2600 med Wraith-Spire.    

Då återstår bara frågan om vilken processor som är bäst lämpad för användaren. I testet så var det bara i multitrådade tester som den dyrare Ryzen 7 2700 slog den billigare Ryzen 5 2600. I alla andra jämförelser var dom båda processorerna på samma nivå. Den som vill bygga ett spelsystem borde ta en närmare titt på Ryzen 5 2600. På grund av sin högre basklockfrekvens så kunde den prestera betydligt bättre än Ryzen 7 2700 i dom flesta spelrelaterade prestandatester. Dessutom är dess pris på ~1 950 kronor också ett bra köpargument.
