Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Med en kraftigare SoC och fortsatt hög kamerakvalitet hoppar Moto G7 en bit framåt i sin kategori och kan dessutom hålla jämna steg med aningen dyrare enheter. Eftersom skärmen också presterar skapligt, höljets glasytor lånar ideer från toppskiktet och lagringsutrustningen är generös så kan vi gå i god för att Motorolas telefon har ett riktigt bra förhållande mellan pris och prestanda.

Vi får leta efter svagheter: I synnerhet vid hands free-användning så saknar mikrofonen precision, höljet kunde varit mer stabilt och den har medelmåttig WLAN-hastighet och spelförmåga. För lika mycket pengar kan du köpa kraftigare enheter som Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite eller Nokia 7.1.

Förra året hade vi fått titta i toppskiktet för många av egenskaperna som återfinns på Motorola Moto G7. Tillsammans med ett lågt pris resulterar detta i mycket smartphone för lite pengar.

Det är inte alla mittenskiktsenheter som kan erbjuda 4K-video, en SoC som inte stryps, lång batteritid i vårt WLAN-test och skapliga navigeringsegenskaper. Därför ger vi Moto G7 en klar rekommendation för alla som letar efter en pålitlig och kraftfull mittenskiktstelefon.
