Intel NUC NUC10i7FNH är en kraftfull mini-PC. En ny Comet Lake SoC ger 6 kärnor och 12 trådar, vilket gör den väldigt intressant för multitrådade applikationer. Om du väljer en sexkärnig NUC får du utöver en Core i7-10710U också 16 GB minne, en SSD med 256 GB lagringsutrymme och en HDD på 1 TB. En licens för Windows 10 ingår också. Om du vill utrusta enheten själv går det också att köpa NUC utan lagring och RAM. Men i så fall behöver Windows-licensen köpas separat. Minst 5.700 kronor krävs för en "tom" NUC.

Sex kärnor i en Mini PC – Intel kombinerar dessa i sin NUC 10 NUC10i7FNH. På så sätt kan multitrådade uppgifter klaras av på nolltid.

Intel har valt avancerade komponenter: med både WiFi 6 och en Intel Core i7-10710U är man väl förberedd för framtiden. Dessutom har den lilla datorn ett riktigt modernt portutbud. Faktum att den här NUC-modellen bara har en HDMI-port är inget problem eftersom Thunderbolt 3-porten är betydligt mer produktiv och mångsidig. Den har också en SD-kortläsare med stöd för UHS II.

Tyvärr har inte mycket hänt med det visuella, för det är svårt att skilja den här NUC-modellen från sina föregångare. Men finsmakare kommer snabbt känna igen den nya version på vilka portar den har. Minidatorn har en estetik som utgår från att saker inte behöver lagas om de inte är trasiga. På så sätt övertygar hantverket, även om vi hade önskat ett aningen robustare alternativ för ovansidan. Vi får också ge kylsystemet kritik, för det högfrekventa ljudet är tröttsamt i längden.

Men vilken NUC är bäst? I slutändan är det upp till varje användare att avgöra vad man vill prioritera. Att ha ett såpass litet system med 6 kärnor och 12 trådar är ganska speciellt. Men detta kommer också med ett visst pris. Den aningen billigare modellen med Core i5-10210U är inte märkbart långsammare vid vardagsbruk. Ska man använda enkla kontorsprogram räcker den mindre modellen. Men NUC 10 NUC10i7FNH passar också bra till mer processor-intensiva program som bildredigering eller enkel videoredigering. Den mer avancerade NUC-modellen passar dessutom bra som en liten arbetsstation för virtuella maskiner.
