Dell Latitude 7424 Rugged Extreme är typexemplet av en robust laptop. Den är tjock. Den är tung. Men den är hållbar. Maskinen är dammtät och vattenresistant, så den bör vara lämplig för krävande omgivningar som byggarbetsplatser och fältarbete. Maskinen är en kompetent arbetshäst som kan hantera ett stort antal arbetsflöden utan problem och den är ganska mångsidig.

Med det sagt så bleknar den i jämförelse med Dell Latitude 5420 Rugged. 5420 är mycket mer portabel tack vare en tunnare profil. 5420 har dessutom jämförbar prestanda, en bättre skärm och längre batteritid. Den största fördelen med 7424 Rugged Extreme är det överlägsna väderskyddet och den handskvänliga inmatningen. 7420 är aningen snabbare och svalare än 5420, men skillnaden är som bäst marginell.

Allt som allt så är Dell Latitude 7424 Rugged Extreme en tuff laptop som har bra och mångsidig prestanda, men det finns bättre alternativ. Om du inte behöver det extra skyddet mot vatten och damm eller arbetar med handskar ofta så är Latitude 5420 Rugged av många anledningar ett bättre val.
