Schenker XMG Pro 15 (Clevo PC50HS-D) recension: Tunn och lätt bärbar dator för 4K-spel

OLED-spel. Core i7-11800H-processorn och GeForce RTX 3080 GPU för mobila enheter kompletterar den ljusa och kontrastrika 4K OLED-skärmen väl och kan köra alla aktuella spel utan problem. Schenker XMG Pro 15 från slutet av 2021 är en lätt och kompakt bärbar dator med 15,6-tums gamingutrustning. Den är baserad på Clevo barebone (PC50HS-D) och drivs av enCore-i7-11800HcPU och en mobilGeForce RTX 3080gPU. Den konkurrerar direkt med enheter som t.ex.Lenovo Legion S7 15ACH6, MSI Delta 15, Alienware x15ochRazer Blade 15 Advanced (mitten av 2021).

Väska - Schenker bärbar dator med metallchassi

För XMG Pro använder Schenker ett smalt metallchassi i matt svart. Eftersom det enkla och ändå eleganta chassit inte har några slående visuella accenter är det lämpligt för professionella miljöer. Jämfört medXMG Pro 15-modellen från början av 2021, finns det bara några mindre skillnader. Det finns ingen underhållslucka och batteriet är fast monterat.

Konstruktionen motiverar ingen kritik. Avstånden är jämna och det finns inga oönskade materialutsprång. Även om locket och basenheten ger efter något när de vrids i hörnen, är styvheten ändå solid överlag. Gångjärnen håller locket stadigt på plats, även om de tillåter en viss vinglighet. Displayen kan öppnas upp till 130 grader. Det är möjligt att öppna den bärbara datorn med bara en hand.

XMG Pro är en av de mest kompakta enheterna i vår jämförelse och endast något större än XMG Pro Blade 15. För det mesta är alla bärbara datorer i vår jämförelse jämna när det gäller vikten. EndastAlienware x15avviker från detta och väger cirka 400 g mer.

Anslutning - Schenker XMG med Thunderbolt 4

XMG Pro har tre USB typ-A-portar (USB 3.2 Gen 1) och en USB typ-C-port (Thunderbolt 4). Den sistnämnda kan anslutas till en funktionsrik dockningsstation eller en extern GPU. Dessutom har porten stöd för DisplayPort via USB-C. Tillsammans med Mini DisplayPort och HDMI-porten finns det totalt tre videoutgångar. Alla tre videoutgångarna har stöd för G-Sync. För USB typ-C-porten måste detta aktiveras manuellt från BIOS. Det finns ingen integrerad kortläsare

Portarna är fördelade på tre sidor av den bärbara datorn. Alla tre videoutgångarna finns på baksidan av enheten. Som ett resultat av detta löper anslutna kablar längs baksidan och är inte i vägen

Kommunikation

Wi-Fi-modulen är baserad på ett Intel-chip (AX201) och stöder 802.11a/b/g/n/n/ac/ax-standarderna. Under optimala förhållanden (inga andra Wi-Fi-enheter i närheten, bärbar dator och server i närheten) observerade vi utmärkta överföringshastigheter. Tillverkaren erbjuder en grundgaranti på två år med hämtning och återlämning i vissa europeiska länder samt en 6-månaders snabb reparationstjänst (reparation inom 48 timmar). En förlängning av garantin till 36 månader kan kosta 100-149 euro (~110-170 dollar) - beroende på den snabba reparationstiden

Schenkers bärbara dator är utrustad med ett bakgrundsbelyst RGB chiclet-tangentbord med nummerplatta. De platta, släta tangenterna har en medelhög rörlighet och en tydlig aktiveringspunkt. Vi är nöjda med tangenternas återkoppling. Tangentbordsytan ger något efter när du skriver. Detta slutade inte med att vara ett problem under vår testning. Bakgrundsbelysningen på tangentbordet har tre inställningar för ljusstyrka, som kan styras via två funktionstangenter. På det hela taget är tangentbordet väl lämpat för daglig användning

Pekplatta

Den släta ytan (~10,8x6,1 cm) på pekplattan stöder multitouch-gester och har goda glidegenskaper. Den svarar bra på inmatningar ända in i hörnen. De två dedikerade musknapparna har medelhög rörlighet och en tydlig aktiveringspunkt

Skärm - bärbar dator för spel med en 4K OLED-panel

Den reflekterande OLED-skärmen (3840 x 2160 pixlar) har ett utmärkt kontrastförhållande (22150:1), svartvärde (0,02) och korta svarstider. Ljusstyrkan (433,7 nits) är också behagligt hög. Vid ljusstyrkor på 81 % och lägre upptäcker våra mätinstrument flimmer med en frekvens på 60 till 240 Hz. På grund av den låga frekvensen kan känsliga användare drabbas av huvudvärk eller ögonstress. Som ett alternativ till OLED-panelen har Schenker också en matt FHD-skärm (IPS, 300 Hz) att erbjuda. Samma panel finns på Tidig 2021-modell av XMG Pro, som vi också recenserat

Skärmens X-Rite-certifiering garanterar en naturlig färgåtergivning. Redan från fabrik är färgavvikelsen mycket liten och omöjlig att upptäcka med blotta ögat. Skärmen lider inte av en blå nyans. Färgområdestäckningen är bred: Skärmen kan visa 98 % och 89 % av sRGB- respektive AdobeRGB-färgrymden (vi kan komma att testa detta på nytt, eftersom Schenker når 100 % i sina egna tester)

Display response times show how fast the screen is able to change from one color to the next. Slow response times can lead to afterimages and can cause moving objects to appear blurry (ghosting). Gamers of fast-paced 3D titles should pay special attention to fast response times.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

The display backlight flickers at 60 Hz (Likely utilizing PWM) Flickering detected at a brightness setting of 81 % and below. There should be no flickering or PWM above this brightness setting.

The frequency of 60 Hz is very low, so the flickering may cause eyestrain and headaches after extended use.

In comparison: 52 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 21860 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 3846000) Hz was measured.

Eftersom panelen har bra synvinklar kan den läsas från vilken position som helst. Utomhus kan det vara svårt att läsa displayens innehåll på grund av dess reflekterande karaktär

Provningsförhållanden

Med den förinstallerade Control Center-programvaran kan användaren bland annat välja en strömprofil (se tabell). Prestanda-profilen med automatisk fläktstyrning valdes innan vi körde några benchmarks. Flera riktmärken kördes också med de tre andra profilerna. Resultaten finns i jämförelsetabellerna. Batteritidstesterna kördes med "underhållningsläget"

Den oktakärniga processorn Core i7-11800H (Tiger Lake) körs med en basklocka på 2,3 GHz. Med Turbo ökar den till upp till 4,2 GHz (åtta kärnor) eller 4,6 GHz (en enda kärna). Hyper-Threading (två trådar per kärna) stöds.
