Recension av Dynabook Portégé X30L-K-139 - Kontorslaptop som endast väger 900 gram

Magnesiumhölje och Alder Lake-P. Dynabook har utrustat Portégé X30L med Intels nya Alder Lake-processor. Magnesiumhöljet är extremt lätt och väger cirka 900 gram, vilket gör den bärbara kontorsdatorn till en extremt mobil följeslagare. Den nya processorns prestanda når dock inte upp till förväntningarna.

Med Portégé X30-serien erbjuder Dynabook (tidigare Toshiba) särskilt kompakta bärbara datorer med 13-tumsskärmar. Vår testenhet, X30L, är en vanlig clamshell, men med X30Wvänder sig Dynabook också till dem som är intresserade av konvertibla datorer. Med en vikt på drygt 900 gram riktar sig Portégé X30L i första hand till kunder som vill använda en så lätt bärbar dator som möjligt på resande fot utan att göra avkall på många portar eller prestanda. Vår testenhet (X30L-K-139) erbjuder en modern Core i5-processor från Intel, 16 GB RAM och en snabb PCIe 4.0 SSD från Samsung utöver IGZO 1080p-skärmen från Sharp. Tillverkaren tar ut cirka 1 600 euro för detta.

Hölje & utrustning

En av höjdpunkterna i X30L är definitivt magnesiumhöljet, vilket är anledningen till att enheten bara väger lite mer än 900 gram. Paradoxalt nog är enheten dock nästan för lätt eftersom den inte känns särskilt högkvalitativ i hanteringen, utan snarare som en plastbombare. Det finns också fortfarande utrymme för förbättringar när det gäller kvaliteten. Basenheten är mycket stabil, men det finns små knarrande ljud när man vrider den. Skärmens gångjärn är väljusterade (maximal öppningsvinkel 180 grader), men det är inte helt enkelt att öppna med bara en hand på grund av den låga vikten. Själva displaylocket är också mycket tunt och ganska flexibelt, men det fanns inga knarrande ljud och vi kunde inte framkalla några bildfel.

Fodralet i mörkblått (Mystic Blue) är visuellt ganska diskret, från utsidan fungerar endast Dynabook-skriften och gångjärnslocket som visuella accenter. Så snart du öppnar locket fångar den blå pekarersättningen (AccuPoint) i mitten av tangentbordet omedelbart din uppmärksamhet. Skärmens kanter ovanför och framför allt nedanför displayen är dock ganska breda; en 16:10-panel skulle ha passat även här.

Det nedre höljet till höljet är fastsatt med en mängd Phillips-skruvar, men det finns inga andra krokar eller plastklämmor. Jämfört med gamla modellen (som till och med var lite lättare) är underhållsalternativen nu mer begränsade eftersom både arbetsminnet och WLAN-modulen är fastlödda under tiden. Det är endast SSD-minnet som kan bytas ut.

När det gäller portar visar Dynabook att även en kompakt enhet inte behöver nöja sig med enbart USB-C. Förutom två moderna Thunderbolt-portar finns det även USB-A, HDMI och till och med en Gigabit Ethernet-port.

Tillverkaren installerar också en modern Wi-Fi-6E-modul från Intel (AX211E), men vi kunde inte upprätta en anslutning till 6 GHz-nätverket i vår referensrouter från Asus. Överföringshastigheterna i 5 GHz-nätverket var fortfarande mycket bra. Portégé finns även som tillval med en LTE-modul.

MicroSD-läsaren erbjuder hyfsade överföringshastigheter, men webbkameran har bara en svag 720p-sensor som inte tillåter särskilt bra bilder. Förutom en mekanisk slutare finns även en IR-kamera installerad för användning av Windows Hello.

Inmatningsenheter - Dynabook har AccuPoint

Det svarta chiclet-tangentbordet är upplyst och ger en genomsnittlig skrivkänsla, det känns inte lika högkvalitativt som på andra bärbara datorer för företag och tangentbordet känns också lite kladdigt. Dessutom är tangenterna på höger sida delvis väldigt små och trånga.

Klickplattan fungerar i princip bra, men den är väldigt liten på grund av de extra dedikerade tangenterna för den blå AccuPoint, och det finns även en fingeravtrycksläsare uppe till vänster som tar upp ytterligare utrymme. Funktionaliteten är dock okej, bara klickljudet är väldigt högt

AccuPoint i tangentbordets mitt fungerar exakt, särskilt i jämförelse med den ThinkPads det initiala motståndet är för högt, så du måste använda mycket kraft, vilket påverkar precisionen lite. De två dedikerade musknapparna har endast en mycket kort rörelse och det högljudda klickljudet känns billigt.

Skärm - IGZO-panel från Sharp

Dynabook erbjuder Portégé X30L med tre olika matta Full HD IPS-skärmar, men vi rekommenderar inte de två versionerna med 250 cd/m² och 300 cd/m² (touch). Vårt recensionsexemplar har den mycket ljusare IGZO-skärmen från Sharp, som uppnår en genomsnittlig ljusstyrka på 450 cd/m² och dessutom ger ett bra subjektivt bildintryck eftersom även ljusa ytor inte ser korniga ut

Halos är inget problem, responstiderna är diskreta och betraktningsvinklarna är mycket stabila, men vi kunde upptäcka PWM-flimmer från en ljusstyrka på 20 % (cirka 115 cd/m²) eller mindre. Frekvensen är dock extremt hög med nästan 24 kHz, så det borde inte finnas några begränsningar här.

Vi mätte panelvärdena med den professionella CalMAN-mjukvaran (X-Rite i1 Pro2-spektrofotometer) och prestandan är inte särskilt bra från fabrik, eftersom det finns en tydligt synlig färgsättning mot lila och avvikelserna jämfört med sRGB-referensen är mycket stora. Du bör definitivt kalibrera panelen (vår profil finns tillgänglig för gratis nedladdning ovan) eftersom det finns mycket potential här och den kalibrerade prestandan är utmärkt. Det sRGB-färgutrymmet täcks nästan helt och hållet och på det hela taget är detta en bra panel för kontorsanvändning.

Display Response Times

Display response times show how fast the screen is able to change from one color to the next. Slow response times can lead to afterimages and can cause moving objects to appear blurry (ghosting). Gamers of fast-paced 3D titles should pay special attention to fast response times.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

The frequency of 23600 Hz is quite high, so most users sensitive to PWM should not notice any flickering.

In comparison: 52 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 19846 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 3846000) Hz was measured.

Utomhus drar du nytta av den matta ytan och den höga skärmens ljusstyrka. Så länge du undviker direkt solljus kan du fortfarande arbeta på ett rimligt sätt i ljusa miljöer.

Prestanda - Alder Lake och svag kylning

Dynabook erbjuds med Intels snabbare Alder Lake P-processorer. Förutom Core i5 i vår testenhet finns även en Core i7 eller Core i3 (även som vPro-versioner). Det finns inga ytterligare prestandaprofiler från tillverkaren, så det är bara Windows-profilerna som kan användas här. Detta är i princip helt okej, men profilerna är inte väl anpassade till den svaga kylningen. Processorn kan förbruka mycket ström under en kort tid (upp till 64 watt), men sedan går temperaturerna genom taket och chipet stryps plötsligt till 11 watt. Därefter kan det kortvarigt förbruka mer än 20 watt igen innan det sedan lägger sig på stabila 15 watt. I de mer effektiva profilerna är maxvärdena lite lägre (t.ex. 35 watt), vilket också hålls lite längre, men även då sker en nedgång till 11 watt och resultaten är överlag desamma. Om man tittar på kylningen hade det varit mycket vettigare att ställa in PL2 på 25 watt, till exempel, och sedan ställa in den permanenta förbrukningen på 15 watt, vilket faktiskt hade varit idealiskt för ett Alder Lake U-chip.

 
 

Processor

Intel Core i5-1240P har fyra snabba prestanda och åtta effektiva kärnor. På grund av det tidigare beskrivna TDP-problemet blir prestandan för flera kärnor, som är den största skillnaden från Alder Lake-U-kretsarna, ganska blygsam. Jämfört med gamla X30W (dvs. den konvertibla varianten) med Tiger Lake -processorn är flerkärnsprestandan bara något högre, vilket är en besvikelse. Masslagring

Dynabook förlitar sig på en snabb PCIe 4.0 SSD från Samsung.
