So, overall, is the Realme 16 Pro Plus a good phone for the price? And more importantly, is it the best phone under INR 40,000 (NPR 63,000) right now? And my answer is – It’s difficult for me to give this phone an easy recommendation. Coz in the last couple of months, the price of phones has increased, and that amount is quite a lot of money for a phone like Realme 16 Pro+, to be very honest. If this phone were priced around INR 32,000 to INR 35,000 (NPR 50,000 to NPR 55,000), it would have been a no-brainer recommendation. It would have been a very balanced phone. At INR 40,000 (NPR 63,000), many strong phones exist. The Samsung Galaxy S24 FE offers decent battery life, a cleaner One UI, and better cameras. The Nothing Phone (3), in the INR 40,000–45,000 range, is also a solid choice, noting improved cameras after updates.

The display may not be the best, but it's solid nonetheless, providing a good viewing experience outdoors. The loudspeakers leave more to be desired, though. Unfortunately, the cameras and battery life come at a price premium. At least at launch, the Realme 16 Pro+ is a bit too pricey and ships with 128GB base storage. So, in case you are not into mobile photography that much, but value raw performance and charging speed highly, there are more sensible solutions at a much lower price. At least until Realme's price settles to more palatable levels.

I got the chance to use the device for a short while, and here's what you need to know.

The realme 16 5G takes a different route compared to typical mid-range smartphones. Instead of chasing raw performance or spec-heavy competition, it focuses on content creation, battery life, and design, and that direction is clearly visible in the overall experience. The camera setup is one of its biggest highlights. With dual 50 MP Sony cameras, a selfie mirror, and a soft ring light, realme is offering something genuinely different in this segment. The phone is well-suited for users who spend a lot of time on social media, taking portraits, or creating short-form content. Another standout aspect is the massive 7,000 mAh battery packed into a slim and lightweight body. Despite housing a large 7,000 mAh battery, the phone maintains a slim profile at around 8.1 mm thickness and 183 grams weight with a clean horizontal camera layout, making it one of the few devices to offer what realme calls the “Slimmest Air Design with a 7000mAh Battery under ₹30K.”

Realme:

En del nyare spel kan spelas med de här grafikkorten, men bara om de är mindre krävande. De har ändå tillräcklig kapacitet för kontorsbruk och film (möjligen högupplöst). Är grafikkretsen dessutom integrerad kan batteritiden vara utmärkt.

ARM Mali-G615 MP2: Mellanklassgrafikchip för smartphones med 2 av 6 möjliga kärnor. Baserat på den fjärde generationen av Valhall-arkitekturen. Erbjuder skuggning med variabel hastighet.

Det här är mindre avancerade grafikkort för användare som ändå vill kunna spela spel. Nya spel bör vara spelbara, men ofta bara med låga detaljinställningar och låg upplösning. Eftersom moderna grafikkort i den här klassen har låg strömförbrukning kan även batteritiden vara bra.

Qualcomm Adreno 722: En relativt högpresterande iGPU för Android surfplattor, telefoner och handdatorer som debuterade tillsammans med Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 SoC och som har ett okänt, i augusti 2025, antal unified shaders.

Bara vissa äldre spel kan spelas flytande med de här grafikkorten. Kretsar med delat minne har fördelen att de utvecklar mindre värme och ger längre batteritid. De duger gott för kontorsbruk, surfande och enklare bildbehandling, men spel och HD-video är inte i syftet med de här kretsarna.
