Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Med tanke på den omfattande listan med fördelar kan vi inte låta bli att bli besvikna på CPU-strypningen (som dock kan åtgärdas med en uppdatering). Skärmens PWM-flimmer och långa svarstider kan också få potentiella köpare att tveka. Den obligatoriska registreringen är en annan olägenhet. Fläktljud får man acceptera med tanke på det tunna chassit, men det högfrekventa ljudet från fläktarna kan definitivt orsaka problem för användaren.

En stor fördel är naturligtvis det utmärkta chassit – vi kan inte riktigt föreställa oss hur det skulle kunna förbättras. Layouten kan verka lite udda, men Chroma-tangentbordet är definitivt ett plus tack vare de omfattande anpassningsmöjligheterna. Med snabbt ac-WiFi, Thunderbolt 3 via USB typ C och HDMI 2.0 är Blade framtidssäker. Spelmaskinen har också en ljusstark IGZO panel med hög kontrast och naturtrogna färger.
