Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . Ett gediget alternativ till den billiga Samsung Galaxy Tab A-serien samtidigt som den utgör ett stort steg upp från 2019 års HiPad i fråga om skärmkvalitet och prestanda.

Utöver ett lockande pris lyckas HiPad bra när det kommer till skärmkvalitet, visuell design och prestanda, vilket är de tre hörnstenarna för en skaplig surfplatta. De är långt från att vara bäst i sina respektive kategorier, men imponerar ändå i förhållande till vad man får betala.

Allt annat på den här surfplattan är däremot genomsnittligt eller en aning därunder. Som exempel har den inte tillräckligt hög ljusstyrka för användning utomhus och färgerna är inte lika exakta som de hade kunnat vara med tanke på att skärmen täcker hela sRGB-omfånget. Dessutom saknar den en del vanliga funktioner såsom 3.5 mm ljudanslutning, automatisk sensor för ljusstyrka, GPS och fingeravtrycksläsare. HiPad Plus passar bäst att använda inomhus och är i huvudsak för webbsurfande och videoströmning.
