Årets Yoga 9 14, som presenterades på CES 2022, är en uppföljare till förra årets modell och introducerar både en helt ny chassidesign och nya 12:e generationens Alder Lake-P-processoralternativ som ersätter den 11:e generationens Tiger Lake-U-serie. Konfigurationer finns tillgängliga med Core i7-1260P-processor, 8 till 16 GB LPDDR5-5200 RAM och antingen 2400p (4K) OLED, 1800p (2.8K) OLED eller 1200p IPS touchscreen. Enheten i recensionen är den mellersta konfigurationen med 2,8K OLED-pekskärm.

Underhåll

Bottenpanelen är inte lätt att ta bort. Användaren måste först skruva loss de 6 Torx-skruvarna på bottenpanelen plus ytterligare en Philips-skruv som är gömd under gummifoten. Det finns inte mycket att uppgradera utöver M.2 2280 SSD eftersom både RAM- och WLAN-moduler är lödda på kortet.

Tillbehör och garanti

Den begränsade standardgarantin på ett år gäller. En skyddande väska och en aktiv styluspenna ingår i varje butikslåda trots att penngaraget nu är borta.

Skärm - 2.8K OLED, 90 Hz, fullständiga DCI-P3-färger

2022 Yoga 9i 14 använder exakt samma 2,8K OLED LEN140WQ+-panel som finns påYoga Slim 7 Pro 14. Kärnattribut som mycket snabba svarstider, 90 Hz nativ uppdateringsfrekvens, full DCI-P3-färgtäckning, utmärkt ljusstyrka och djupa svartnivåer är därför mycket lika mellan dem. De siktar till och med på samma maximala ljusstyrka på 400 nits. Bildkvaliteten är objektivt sett överlägsen de flesta, om inte alla 14-tums IPS-alternativ

Det finns några invändningar att tänka på. Grynighet är tyvärr ett problem på den här modellen och därför framstår texter och bilder inte lika skarpa som de skulle göra på ett glansigt IPS-alternativ. Problemet är mest märkbart när man visar en helt vit bakgrund och sedan tittar noga på skärmen. För det andra finns pulsbreddsmodulering på alla ljusstyrkanivåer utom vid 0 procent, vilket innebär att en liten andel av användarna kan vara känsliga för den flimrande ljusstyrkan.

Intressant nog var panelen på vår testenhet inställd på 60 Hz. Användare kanske vill kontrollera bildskärmsinställningarna för att se till att 90 Hz är aktiverat.

Display response times show how fast the screen is able to change from one color to the next. Slow response times can lead to afterimages and can cause moving objects to appear blurry (ghosting). Gamers of fast-paced 3D titles should pay special attention to fast response times.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

The display backlight flickers at 347.2 Hz (Likely utilizing PWM) Flickering detected at a brightness setting of 100 % and below. There should be no flickering or PWM above this brightness setting.

The frequency of 347.2 Hz is relatively high, so most users sensitive to PWM should not notice any flickering. However, there are reports that some users are still sensitive to PWM at 500 Hz and above, so be aware.

In comparison: 52 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 21940 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 3846000) Hz was measured.

Prestanda - Core i7-1260P lämnar sitt märke

 

Provningsförhållanden

Vi ställde in vår enhet i prestandaläge via Windows och Extreme Performance-läget via Lenovo Vantage innan vi körde alla benchmarks nedan. Det rekommenderas att användarna bekantar sig med Vantage-programvaran eftersom viktiga systemfunktioner och kritiska uppdateringar växlas in här.

Processor

Intressant nog är den råa prestandan för flera trådar cirka 10 procent långsammare än samma modell med samma Core i7-1260P-processor men med en 2400p-skärm med högre upplösning. Det är ändå fortfarande betydligt snabbare än den 11:e gen Core i7-1165G7i Xenia 14 med cirka 20 procent och 40 procent i arbetsbelastningar med en och flera trådar, respektive

Hållbar prestanda är bra men inte perfekt. Vår första poäng på 1461 poäng när vi körde CineBench R15 xT i en slinga sjönk med cirka 7 procent i efterföljande körningar, vilket tyder på kortvarig Turbo Boost-potential.
