Recension av Acer Nitro 5 AN515-58: Snabb QHD-spellaptop

En sprinter. En Core i7 12700H CPU och en GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Laptop GPU kör alla aktuella datorspel smidigt på en responsiv 15,6-tumsskärm (QHD). Den bärbara datorn har också plats för upp till tre lagringsenheter och har en Thunderbolt 4-port. Pris: cirka 24 000 kronor.

Acer har introducerat en bärbar dator för spel i sin serie i form av Nitro 5 AN515-58, som drivs av enCore i7-12700H CPU och en GeForce RTX 3070 Ti gPU för bärbara datorer. Bland konkurrenterna finns bland annat enheter som HP Omen 16, den MSI Vector GP66 12UGS och Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16 G7.

Hölje: Acer satsar på plast

Nitro 5:s hölje verkar inte ha något högkvalitativt material - hela chassit är tillverkat av mattsvart plast. Tangentbordets RGB-bakgrundsbelysning och några tunna, färgglada ränder på lockets baksida ger lite färg. De släta ytorna på chassit visar sig vara ganska känsliga för fingeravtryck. Batteriet är installerat i enheten (skruvat, inte limmat) och inredningen är åtkomlig efter att ha tagit bort det nedre skalet.

Inga hantverksfel upptäcktes vid närmare granskning. Alla springor är jämna och inga materialutsprång hittades. Basenheten vrider sig något under vridning, men håller sig inom acceptabla gränser. Locket kunde däremot vara tätare. Gångjärnen håller locket stadigt på plats och den maximala öppningsvinkeln är ca 155 grader. Det är möjligt att öppna locket med en hand.

När det gäller vikt och storlek ligger Nitro ungefär på samma nivå somLenovo Legion 5 Pro. I jämförelsefältet är Omen 16den lättaste och mest kompakta enheten.

Anslutningsmöjligheter: Acer Nitro erbjuder Thunderbolt 4

Nitro har tre USB-A-portar (2x USB 3.2 Gen 2, 1x USB 3.2 Gen 1) och en USB-C-port (Thunderbolt 4), varav den senare stöder Power Delivery och Displayport. Tillsammans med HDMI-platsen erbjuder den bärbara datorn alltså två videoutgångar. Det finns även ett kombinerat ljuduttag, en Gigabit Ethernet-port och en öppning för ett kabellås. Endast en minneskortläsare saknas.

Överföringshastigheten för WLAN-överföringen under optimala förhållanden (inga andra WLAN-enheter i omedelbar närhet, kort avstånd mellan den bärbara datorn och serverdatorn) är utmärkt och motsvarar WiFi-chipets kapacitet (Killer AX1650i = Intel AX201; 802.11 ax). Dessutom medföljer en kort platt kabel tillsammans med en SATA-kontakt som behövs för att installera en 2,5-tums lagringsenhet. Motsvarande monteringsram finns redan förinstallerad inuti den bärbara datorn.

Underhåll

Efter att ha tagit bort alla skruvar på enhetens undersida kan bottenskalet lossas med hjälp av en platt spatel. Här måste man vara försiktig: Det nedre skalet sitter ganska hårt fast. Därefter har du tillgång till RAM-bankerna (båda upptagna), SSD (PCIe 4), den andra M.2-2280-platsen (PCIe 4), den 2,5-tums monteringsramen, WLAN-modulen, fläktarna, högtalarna och batteriet.

Garanti

Två års garanti gäller i Tyskland. En uppgradering till tre års garanti på plats kostar knappt 120 euro. Detta gäller kanske inte för andra länder och regioner där produkten köps, så se till att dubbelkolla garantin med din leverantör

Inmatningsenheter: AN515 har ett tangentbord med RGB-belysning

Tangentbord

Det upplysta chiclet-tangentbordet består av konkava (bokstäver, sifferrad) och platta tangenter (funktionstangenter, nummerplatta), som alla har ett medelhögt fall och en tydlig tryckpunkt. Tangentmotståndet skulle dock kunna vara skarpare för vår smak. Tangentbordet ger efter lite under skrivandet, men det visade sig inte vara besvärligt. RGB-belysningen i fyra steg styrs via två funktionstangenter. På det hela taget levererar Acer ett tangentbord som är lämpligt för daglig användning.

Pekplatta

En klickplatta (ca 10,6 x 7,8 cm) med multitouchfunktion fungerar som musersättning. Den släta ytan gör det lätt att glida med fingrarna och ger bra respons i hörnen. Resan är kort och tryckpunkten tydlig.

Skärm: Spellaptop med QHD-panel

Ljusstyrkan (303 cd/m²) och kontrastförhållandet (1145:1) på den matta 15,6-tumsskärmen (2560x1440) uppfyller båda målen. En positiv aspekt: Den inbyggda 165 Hz-panelen erbjuder korta svarstider och visar inget PWM-flimmer.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Provningsförhållanden

Den bärbara datorn från Acer har tre tillverkarspecifika prestandaprofiler ("Performance", "Standard", "Quiet") som användaren kan välja mellan via den förinstallerade NitroSense-programvaran. Profilen "Performance" kan endast användas vid nätdrift. Batteritesterna utfördes med profilen "Quiet" och benchmarks med profilen "Standard". Automatisk fläktstyrning användes också.

Processor

Core i7-12700H (Alder Lake) består av sex prestandakärnor (hyperthreading, 2,4-4,7 GHz) och åtta effektivitetskärnor (ingen hyperthreading, 1,8-3,5 GHz). Totalt resulterar detta i 20 logiska CPU-kärnor.

Flertrådstestet i riktmärket Cinebench R15 kördes kortvarigt med höga klockfrekvenser (P-kärnor: 4 till 4,1 GHz, E-kärnor: 3,2 GHz) för att sedan sjunka något (P-kärnor: 3,5 till 3,9 GHz, E-kärnor: 2,9 till 3,1 GHz). Testet med en enda tråd utfördes vid hastigheter på 2,2 till 4,7 GHz (P-kärnor) och 1,2 till 3,5 GHz (E-kärnor). Klockhastigheterna var betydligt lägre i batteriläge.


På det hela taget är resultaten från riktmärkena blandade. När det gäller prestanda för flera trådar ligger Nitro efter

Lenovo Legion 5 Pro 16 G7som också är utrustad med en 12700H-processor.

Om CPU Turbo används konstant i nätdrift testas genom att köra multitrådstestet i Cinebench R15-benchmark i en slinga. I det här fallet kan höga klockfrekvenser bara upprätthållas under en kort tid. Därefter arbetar både P- och E-kärnorna med hastigheter i det mellersta Turbo-området. Profilen "Prestanda" orsakar en liten ökning av beräkningskraften
