Last year's model had eighth-generation Intel Core processors from the Kaby Lake family, and this year's has eighth-generation Intel Core processors from the Whiskey Lake family. Last year's had an Nvidia GeForce MX150 with 2GB GDDDR5, and this year's has a GeForce MX250 with 2GB GDDR5.

Sure, the company wanted to keep its premium machine updated with the latest and greatest silicon, but the payoff hasn't been huge. That shouldn't dim, however, the shine on one of the best laptops of 2018 receiving a little spit-and-polish for 2019. You can't criticize a company for doing well and then not choosing to reinvent the wheel.

NVIDIA GeForce MX250:
Efterföljare till MX150 som fortfarande är baserad på samma Pascal GP108 chipp (i likhet med desktop-kortet GT 1030) men med högre klockfrekvenser. Finns i två versioner, en vanlig version på 25 Watt och en lågenergi-version med reducerad prestanda och ett TDP-värde på 10 Watt. Versionen på 25 Watt har exempelvis 21% högre boost-klockfrekvens än det äldre MX150 vilket resulterar i en prestandavinst på 5%.
Det här är mindre avancerade grafikkort för användare som ändå vill kunna spela spel. Nya spel bör vara spelbara, men ofta bara med låga detaljinställningar och låg upplösning. Eftersom moderna grafikkort i den här klassen har låg strömförbrukning kan även batteritiden vara bra.
