Honor MagicPad 4 är en premium Android -surfplatta i Honor:s MagicPad-serie, inriktad på produktivitet med stark hårdvara och en tunn, lätt design. Den har en 12,3-tums 3:2 OLED-skärm (3000×1920) med en uppdateringsfrekvens på 165 Hz för jämn grafik. Prestandan drivs av Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 med Adreno 829-grafik, uppbackad av 12 GB eller 16 GB minne och upp till 512 GB lagringsutrymme. Recensioner lyfter fram utmärkt batteritid från dess 10 100 mAh kisel-kolbatteri, plus utmärkta mediefunktioner som en åtta högtalare. Mjukvarufunktioner som PC Mode och snabb fildelning hyllas, men upplevelsen hålls tillbaka av ett rörigt gränssnitt och märkbar bloatware. Sammantaget anses den vara en av de mest prisvärda avancerade surfplattorna på Android, men den är inte en definitiv ersättare för en iPad Pro och inte alltid det bästa värdet jämfört med billigare Android -konkurrenter.

For around the price of a Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ or an iPad Air, you’re getting a slick OLED display and near-flagship performance. It’s all wrapped up in one of the slimmest tablet bodies around. There are weaknesses relating to software, including a cluttered UI and excessive bloatware, and the optional accessories aren’t the best of their kind. Despite the downsides, the Honor MagicPad 4 is one of the finest Android tablets in its class.

EN→SVGenerally speaking, I like the Honor MagicPad 4. It’s a superbly put together all-round productivity tablet. It’s fast, the screen is beautiful and battery life is excellent. You even get a selection of reasonably useful software tools included – I particularly liked the ability to share files quickly with an iPhones, MacBooks and iPads. Is it a superior tablet than the iPad Pro? No, but it is a lot cheaper and the hardware is competitive. Is it better value than cheaper Android-based tablets such as the just-launched Xiaomi Pad 8? Not really, but it is a faster perfomer, it’s lighter and thinner, and it has a larger, more luxurious OLED display. In the end, however, it really depends what you want.

Think about what you’re getting here. A stunning OLED display that’s genuinely comfortable to stare at for hours, eight speakers that’ll make you question why you ever watched anything on a phone, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 that chews through everything you throw at it, and a PC Mode that actually makes you feel like you could leave your laptop at home. I nearly did. But if you can get your hands on one, the HONOR MagicPad 4 is absolutely worth considering. And that’s the real thing here.

I’ll be in Barcelona covering Mobile World Congress (MWC) in a few days time, where I’ll hopefully have the chance to see this super-slim tablet in the flesh. In the meantime, however, here’s everything we know so far about the Honor MagicPad 4.

Qualcomm Adreno 829: Integrerad grafikenhet i Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 SoC för smartphones. Integrerar två kluster och 2 MB cache och klockar i upp till 1225 MHz.
Det här är mindre avancerade grafikkort för användare som ändå vill kunna spela spel. Nya spel bör vara spelbara, men ofta bara med låga detaljinställningar och låg upplösning. Eftersom moderna grafikkort i den här klassen har låg strömförbrukning kan även batteritiden vara bra.
