MagyarDell Latitude 7340 - recension av bärbar dator: 0.22 lb mindre med försumbar påverkan på prestanda
Efter att ha granskat den kompakta 14-tums Dell Latitude 7440 för några veckor sedan, har vi nu dess något mindre version. Dell Latitude 7340, som mäter 13,3 tum, är knappt en tum mer kompakt. Trots sin mindre storlek har den i stort sett identiska specifikationer, med Intel Core i5-1345U från 13:e generationen med vPro, 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM och en 512 GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD.
En kritisk fråga uppstår: påverkar den minskade formfaktorn prestandan? Kan det ännu mindre höljet upprätthålla samma prestandanivå, med tanke på det begränsade utrymmet för kylning, batteri och andra komponenter? Detta är ett primärt fokus för vår granskning av Dell Latitude 7340. Dessutom konkurrerar testkandidaten med andra små bärbara datorer, inklusive den billigare Dell Latitude 3440 med samma CPU och den mer kraftfulla men dyrare HP Dragonfly G4.

Hölje och anslutningar - Ultralätt och kompakt magnesiumhölje
Dells Latitude 7340 är inkapslad i en elegant magnesiumram av hög kvalitet med en behaglig struktur och en mörkare grå nyans. Med en vikt på ca 2,4 lb i Ultralight-versionen ligger den i linje med andra 13,3-tums bärbara datorer när det gäller vikt. Intressant är att trots den mindre skärmstorleken är det bara ca 0,22 lb som sparas jämfört med Latitude 7440. Skillnaden är därför knappast märkbar.
På vänster sida har Latitude 7340 två Thunderbolt 4-portar, var och en med DisplayPort och Power Delivery-funktioner. Dessutom finns en HDMI-port och en USB 3.2 Type-A-port. Enheten erbjuder valfri LTE-mobilanslutning (WWAN) tillsammans med Wi-Fi 6E och Bluetooth-stöd. WLAN-hastigheten är särskilt bra vid 6 GHz men kommer till korta jämfört med konkurrenterna i detta avseende.
Den bärbara datorn levereras med en inbyggd 1080p-webbkamera som kan täckas manuellt med ett reglage. Det är dock värt att notera att kameran inte fångar färger exakt (med en 11,8 ∆E) och presterar betydligt sämre än den tidigare generationen Latitude 7330.
En positiv miljöaspekt är att Dell har valt att eliminera plastförpackningar, vilket visar på ett engagemang för hållbarhet.
Input Devices - litet utrymme som används nästan optimalt
På grund av sin kompakta storlek erbjuder Latitude 7340 begränsat utrymme för tangentbordet. Dell utnyttjar nästan hela enhetens bredd och lämnar endast 0,79 tum på vänster och höger sida. Detta arrangemang möjliggör tangenter som mäter cirka 0,63 x 0,63 tum, exklusive en numerisk knappsats. Överraskande nog kan användare med större händer efter en kort tids anpassning få en bekväm skrivupplevelse.
Dell har på ett smart sätt integrerat en fingeravtryckssensor i det övre högra hörnet av strömknappen. Tangenterna F1 till F12 behåller sina traditionella funktioner, t.ex. volym och ljusstyrka. Dessutom kan användare justera tangentbordsbelysningen i tre nivåer (off, dim, bright) med dessa tangenter.
I det nedre området har Dell placerat en pekplatta som mäter 4,93 x 2,67 tum, vilket ger en behaglig taktil känsla och tysta klick. Sammantaget ger pekplattan lite utrymme för kritik och bidrar till en sömlös användarupplevelse.
Skärm - Matt och tillräckligt ljusstark FHD+-skärm
IPS-panelen har ett bildförhållande på 16:10 och en upplösning på 1.920 x 1.200 pixlar (FHD+). Denna konfiguration ger en något högre skärm, vilket har en positiv inverkan på visningsupplevelsen på den kompakta 13,3-tumsskärmen.
Ljusstyrkan är lovvärd och ligger i genomsnitt på drygt 400 cd/m², men något under värdena för 1600p-panelen iLatitude 7440som nyligen granskades. I kombination med den matta skärmen gör den här funktionen att enheten kan användas effektivt utomhus. Den här förmågan är avgörande för en bärbar dator som är utformad för mobilitet, även om det inte alltid är garanterat.
Dell Latitude 7340 presterar genomgående bra i alla mätningar i testet utan några anmärkningsvärda problem. Även om dess färgrymdstäckning är solid, kanske den inte är tillräcklig för professionell grafikredigering. Med rätt kalibrering kan dock färgåtergivningen förbättras avsevärt.

Prestanda - Raptor Lake-U med vPro och små prestandauppoffringar
Dell Latitude 7340 drivs av en 13:e generationens Intel-processor med vPro-stöd. Den är särskilt utrustad med Intel Core i5-1345U processor i kombination med Intel Iris Xe Graphics (80 EUs), 16 GB LPDDR5 RAM och en 512 GB M.2 PCIe NVMe SSD.
Dessutom erbjuder Dell flera andra konfigurationer, vilket ger användarna möjlighet att välja mellan Intel Core i5-1335U och Intel Core i7-1365U processorer.
Villkor för testning
För våra prestandatester använde vi främst läget "Ultra Performance" i Dell Optimizer, tillverkarens egen programvara. Detta läge kan synkronisera temperaturhanteringsinställningar med Windows energiprestanda om så önskas. Användare har möjlighet att välja mellan lägen som "Optimized", "Cool" och "Quiet" för att justera parametrar enligt deras specifika användning och preferenser.
Processor
Den integrerade Intel Core i5-1345U är en del av Raptor Lake U-serien och har totalt tio kärnor (två prestandakärnor och åtta effektivitetskärnor) med hastigheter på upp till 4,7 GHz. Den stöder även vPro Enterprise Management-funktioner.
Denna processor används även i den större Latitude 7440där den presterar bättre. I våra prestandatester låg Latitude 7340 konsekvent efter sin något större motsvarighet med en märkbar marginal. Det verkar som att den mer kompakta storleken, tillsammans med dess tillhörande begränsningar, har en inverkan på dess övergripande prestanda.
Latitude 7340 presterar i nivå med 13,3-tums Latitude 3440, som delar samma CPU men är i en lägre klass. Sammantaget utnyttjar denna testenhet inte processorns potential fullt ut, vilket resulterar i att den hamnar under CPU-genomsnittet.

Grafikkort
Dell har valt att inte inkludera en dedikerad grafiklösning i Latitude 7340, ett beslut som ligger i linje med det lättviktiga subnotebook-konceptet. Istället förlitar man sig på Intel Iris Xe Graphics (80 EUs), som också finns i Latitude 7440 jämförelsemodell, för grafikutmatning.
Det är tydligt att designfaktorn inte har någon betydande inverkan på grafikprestandan. Vanliga 3DMark-riktmärken visar ofta att den mindre modellen bara är något bakom och ibland till och med framför sin 14-tums kusin. Skillnaderna är mycket små och obetydliga.
När det gäller uppmätta bildhastigheter för spel är skillnaderna något mer märkbara. Latitude 7340 ger vanligtvis några bildrutor mindre per sekund, även om detta inte påverkar spelbarheten nämnvärt. De flesta spel körs tillfredsställande på de lägsta inställningarna, vilket i allmänhet är acceptabelt för en enhet i den här klassen.

Trots sin mindre storlek är Latitude 7340 utrustad med samma 57 Wh-batteri som 14-tums Latitude 7440. Den mindre displayen bidrar till en längre batteritid, som till exempel är två timmar längre i Wi-Fi-testet. Överlag har testenheten en anmärkningsvärt längre drifttid jämfört med de flesta av sina konkurrenter. Endast Dragonfly G4 klarar sig lite längre, tack vare sin betydligt större batterikapacitet.

Omdöme - Bra kompakt notebook som knappast avslöjar några svagheter i testet
Om vi jämför 13,3-tums Dell Latitude 7340 med den något större 14-tums Latitude 7440är den här testade subnotebooken något lättare och mer kompakt men kan hålla jämna steg med sin större seriebror i många avseenden, tack vare nästan identisk hårdvara. Prestandan är generellt lite lägre, men skillnaden är hanterbar.
Den förlängda batteritiden är ett plus, tack vare samma batteri med minskad strömförbrukning.
Slutligen visade sig Dell Latitude 7340 vara en liten följeslagare i vårt test, kapabel att hantera typiska kontorsuppgifter och lämplig för utomhusbruk med sin tillräckligt ljusstarka och matta skärm.
Om 13,3-tum känns lite för litet för dina preferenser, erbjuder 14-tumsalternativet en något större skärmstorlek och lite mer prestanda. Å andra sidan, om den inbyggda processorns prestanda inte räcker till för dina behov, kanske du vill överväga att utforska alternativ som den lika kompakta HP Dragonfly G4.
