Från 128 GB via 256 upp till 512 GB erbjuds. För det får du ett hopplock där den senaste, bästa tekniken blandas med den lite billigare och äldre. Du får ju till exempel den stora skärmen från jätten Iphone 15 Pro Max, men utan den högre uppdateringsfrekvensen, utan aktiv låsskärm. Du kan alltså inte få klocka, widgets och annat synligt i skärmen även när den är i viloläget. Däremot får du det nya Standby-läget som visar widgets i stort format när telefonen laddas.

It’s perhaps no surprise that Apple has made another accomplished smartphone here and there’s plenty to like about the iPhone 15 Plus. At least, it’s one of my favourite ‘plus’ size phones I’ve ever tested and much of that has to do with the incredible battery life and ease of use. Apple does even undercut some Android rivals on price, but this only gets you 128GB of storage which might not be enough for some people. Those Android rivals will typically get you better hardware including higher refresh rate displays, newer processors and telephoto lenses. If that matters to you and you’re not set on iOS, then it’s worth having a browse and compare before taking the plunge. Otherwise, the 15 Plus makes for a very serviceable and good quality handset if the regular 15 is too small and your budget doesn’t stretch to this year’s Pro models.

The Apple iPhone 15 Plus achieved an excellent global battery score and ranked above its predecessor thanks to slightly better charging experience. The iPhone 15 Plus’s battery score nearly matched that of the 15 Pro Max, but it was held back by a slightly lower performance during the typical usage scenario tests. Still, the iPhone 15 Plus showed excellent results in the typical usage scenario, with the device’s autonomy lasting 2.5 days in moderate use and losing less than 1% of power per night on average. Tests of individual indoor usage also demonstrated autonomy that was above average, especially when watching videos. However, outdoor performances were slightly below average compared with other devices from the database. Despite a better charging experience than its predecessor, charging was overall poor, taking longer than average.

Previous reports mentioned that the iPhone 14 Plus wasn't selling that well. But the iPhone 15 Plus seems like a much better improvement. It's almost like a Pro variant of last year's lineup, offering impressive performance, extensive battery life, great sound, and excellent cameras. Despite the disappointing portrait selfie mode, overall photo quality is good enough, so we think it's still suitable for content creators. If you're using any older iPhone models, including the iPhone 14, we think the iPhone 15 Plus could be a worthy upgrade. With a starting price of RM4899, it may seem quite expensive considering the other Android flagships around that are more affordable. This includes the Xiaomi 13T (starting at RM1799), the HONOR Magic 5 (RM3499) and the Samsung Galaxy S23+ (prices from RM3899). For those who want a smaller phone, Apple also offers the iPhone 15 at 6.1 inches starting at RM4399. It has almost all the same features as the iPhone 15 Plus.

The 15 Plus is a worthy successor, inheriting its predecessor's strengths while adding a few of its own. The design and colour options leave you impressed and spoilt for choice. The screen is visually appealing – big and bright — making content viewing a pleasant experience. The camera setup is versatile and consistent — something that will appeal to most smartphone users. The battery life, like a marathon runner, keeps going and going, refusing to show signs of fatigue. The introduction of the Dynamic Island feature, Apple's quirky notch replacement, is a welcome addition though has a long way to go. Apple's not-so-subtle strategy of nudging consumers towards the Pro models by withholding certain features from the non-Pro ones is quite apparent. The iPhone 15 Plus, for instance, sports a year-old processor, which might irk some. But let's be honest, Apple's processors have always been a tad overzealous, so losing a year of future-proofing isn't a major setback.

So, if you have been meaning to upgrade from your old iPhone, now’s the time to do the upgrade and there’s no better smartphone than the iPhone 15 in the same price category. Speaking of downsides, the default refresh rate support is one that can be counted. Anyways, you get some additional perks on the device such as the Emergency SOS via satellite service for SOS SMS. Both Apple iPhone 15 and 15 Plus have support for super-fast 5G connectivity with gigabit speeds. However, if you prioritize a faster 120Hz refresh rate then the regular iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus won’t cut it out for you. You will need to go for the Pro models. If you are looking for an alternative option you can check the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra which comes with better specs and 4 years of software updates.

The iPhone 15 Plus makes more sense in Apple’s line-up compared to last year’s iPhone 14 Plus, partly because of a price drop in the UK that more comfortably separates it from the top-end iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max without a massive downgrade in terms of features and functionality. Sure, you’re not getting a telephoto lens or the fastest Apple chipset, but the iPhone 15 Plus has a lot going for it, from the new Dynamic Island tech to the new 48MP primary camera that delivers true year-on-year gains when it comes to taking photos and capturing videos. It also still delivers the best battery life of any iPhone, with even hardcore use not fully draining the battery over a day. You can immediately tell that Apple has thought about its users when you pick up an iPhone 15. It’s more comfortable to hold and finally has USB-C, which “everyone” uses. The mobile phone, which comes in two sizes, has received the biggest upgrade to the main camera in a long time. With up to 48 megapixels, you get sharper and cleaner images than before and even better video quality. With features like Cinematic Mode and Portraits, you also get useful features, and Night Mode removes most of the murky noise from its predecessor’s 12MP camera. If you couldn’t already tell from the section above, while I do love the iPhone 15 Plus, it’s very difficult for me to recommend it over the 14 Pro Max, as the latter currently only costs a couple of hundred Ringgit more through authorised resellers. With that small price difference, you get practically the same phone as the 15 Plus but with better battery life, more camera features, and a better display. The only advantages the iPhone 15 Plus has over its predecessor are a USB-C port, which is a small bonus but ultimately isn’t that big of a deal, the automatic depth capturing for photos, reverse wired charging, and the second-gen ultrawide band chip for finding your nearby friends. Keep in mind that for the enhanced Find My feature, both you and the other person need to have the iPhone 15. With all this being said, if you absolutely want to future-proof yourself by having a USB-C iPhone, then you probably won’t regret getting the iPhone 15 or 15 Plus if you’re already used to the non-Pro models.

When it comes to smartphones, most people like getting the biggest phones they can get, and the market reflects that. Budget and mid-range phones from Xiaomi, Motorola, and Samsung are all around and about the 6.5-6.7in size range and Apple has to have something in that market for those who want the biggest phone they can buy without paying the biggest premium. Apple’s iPhone 15 Plus is that phone for Apple buyers and, where last year we weren’t sure about the Plus, this model cements its place in the range. It’s a major upgrade over the iPhone 14 Plus and provides a distinct alternative to both the standard 15 and the Pro models above it with a great camera, nippy performance and a larger screen. Moreover, battery life is superb. The iPhone 15 Plus still has some flaws. Its lack of telephoto lens means it will always fall short compared to Android phones around the same price and charging speeds are slow. However, despite that, it’s a compelling upgrade over last year’s phone and kudos is due to Apple for that alone.

Is the iPhone 15 Plus worth upgrading to from an iPhone 13 or iPhone 14? Probably not. The cost far outweighs the handful of new features. However, if you're on an iPhone 12 which Apple discontinued recently and are looking at the iPhone 15 series, then the iPhone 15 Plus is the one to buy. It gets new features such as Dynamic Island although the display is still stuck at 60Hz. In terms of performance, the iPhone 15 Plus' A16 Bionic performs brilliantly, and the issues have finally been ironed out with an update. It gets a new 48MP camera which captures exceptional shots in all conditions, while the 2x telephoto also snaps decent, zoomed-in photos. You get all-day battery life on the iPhone 15 Plus with moderate-to-heavy usage, and it can last even longer if you're a light user. Charging can prove to be a headache at times owing to the slow 20W speeds. All in all, the iPhone 15 Plus is a great shout as the best iPhone to buy this year, and is certainly the best among other iPhones in its lineup, considering its price.

The iPhone 14 Plus felt out of place. It was ungainly, uncomfortable, a bit ugly, and not the best performer either. It didn’t appeal much during my time with it, and I haven’t rushed to return to it. Due to this, I feared the worst for the iPhone 15 Plus, but I was totally wrong to think it would be more of the same. The ergonomic improvements have made a massive difference, the performance has been dramatically improved, the cameras inspire me to take photos, and even the low refresh rate screen somehow isn’t as irritating as it was before. Before I started using the iPhone 15 Plus as my daily phone, I swapped between the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 15 Pro Max while I worked on a camera test for the pair. My SIM then went straight into the iPhone 15 Plus, and you may be surprised to read that I haven’t really missed either of them. The iPhone 15 Plus reminds me of the Google Pixel 7a, which despite not being a “flagship,” its all-around ability makes it a great everyday phone for most people.

Overall, Apple seems to be sticking to its iPhone strategy closely. And that means the regular iPhones are getting upgrades from last year’s Pro iPhones. That said, this year’s updates seem more appealing and significant, which make this year's regular iPhones look like more compelling purchases. But as usual, we'll need time to test and evaluate these phones more carefully to see if that's truly the case.

In a vacuum, the iPhone 15 Plus is a really good smartphone for the 2023-2024 season. Long software support, standard USB-C with reverse charging, nice cameras, and a good mix of performance and features. However, as a second-generation model after the iPhone 14 Plus, it doesn’t really offer enticing upgrade reasons for those who jumped into the 2022 big-but-not-pro iPhone. Yes, USB-C is great (finally!), and the camera is not only higher resolution but is also more versatile. Apple is fencing the 15 Plus of features found in way cheaper phones such as always-on display and fast screen refresh rates. I'd see this as an apparent effort to not cannibalize the iPhone Pro sales, while also saving some money in the process. Unfortunately, Apple wasn’t the only phone company to offer timid upgrades to its phones in 2023.

The Apple iPhone 15 Plus delivers brilliance in a number of areas. There's a familiar but fresh design, new colours, an absolutely delightful new matte and contoured finish and Dynamic Island delivers a different experience for this regular marvel. That's just surface level too. Add to that the upgrade in processor, huge upgrades in the camera experience and a superb battery life and you really do have a fantastic device overall in the iPhone 15 Plus. The iPhone 15 Pro Max is still the 2023 iPhone to beat (as you might expect) but if that's outside of your budget - which for many it is likely to be, the regular iPhone 15 Plus is hands down the next best iPhone I would recommend. It ticks almost all of the boxes including design, display, camera and performance, and at a great price too.

In conclusion, the iPhone 15 Plus is an excellent smartphone. It offers a Pro-like experience in terms of design, camera, performance, and most notably, battery backup. Yes, it also misses out on a few perks like the 120Hz refresh rate, Action Button, always on display, as well as features like ProRAW support. At the same time, you need to keep in mind that the iPhone 15 Plus is almost Rs 35,000 cheaper than the iPhone 15 Pro base model. So, for anyone who prefers a large screen and can manage with a 60Hz refresh rate, it's the perfect choice. Also, this is the exact reason why I believe that it is the most value iPhone of 2023.

Thanks to the Dynamic Island and 48MP camera, the iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus pack enough new features to easily justify upgrading, maybe even from last year’s iPhone 14. (Suggesting people upgrade from a previous year’s model is something I haven’t said about an iOS device in a very long time. ) And if you’re still packing an iPhone 12, you’ll see really significant improvements. This year, the two “standard” models are much closer in features to the Pros. Most significantly, all four have the Dynamic Island and 48MP cameras. The more expensive models still offer additional features: somewhat better cameras, the Action button, a titanium chassis and a few others. But this is not a year I’d say that anyone who could afford it should get a Pro or Pro Max. Think hard about saving your money instead.

I’ve always felt that the “regular” iPhones have more attractive finishes and it’s true for this year too. The iPhone 15 will come in five finishes and they are: Blue, Pink, Yellow, Green, and Black. My picks would be Blue and Pink because they look the most punchy and vivid. Like the Pro iPhones, the iPhone 15 and 15 Plus have contoured edges that make the phone easier and more comfortable to hold. They feel less squared off and less sharp at the edges. In terms of size, they feel about the same. Screen sizes are unchanged so the iPhone 15 still has a 6.1-inch display while the iPhone 15 Plus has a larger 6.7-inch display.
