Acer Swift Go 14 (2023) recension: 14-tums bärbar dator med en 2,9k OLED-panel för 800 USD

Fodral och anslutningsmöjligheter - Swift har två Thunderbolt 4-portar

Den bärbara datorns vinklade hölje uppvisar inga byggfel. Acer har valt en silverfärgad (Pure Silver) aluminium med en slät, matt yta. Det är lite svårt att öppna den bärbara datorn med en hand på grund av dess styva gångjärn och låga vikt. Batteriet (skruvat i, inte fastlimmat), liksom resten av datorns insida, kan nås när du har tagit bort den nedre delen av fodralet.

Två USB-A-portar (USB 3.2 Gen 1) och två USB-C-portar (Thunderbolt 4/USB 4; Power Delivery, DisplayPort) finns ombord. Totalt erbjuder den bärbara datorn upp till tre videoutgångar (1x HDMI, 2x DP). Den installerade SD-kortläsaren (MicroSD) är mycket långsam. En QHD-webbkamera (3,7 MP, max. 2 560 x 1 440 pixlar) uppnår ganska anständiga resultat. Vi förstår inte riktigt varför den inte har ett skydd.

Under optimala förhållanden (inga WiFi-enheter i närheten, kort avstånd mellan den bärbara datorn och serverdatorn) uppnår den mycket bra WiFi-datahastigheter. Den bärbara datorn använder ett WiFi 6E-chip (Intel AX211).

Inmatningsenheter - Acer laptop med bakgrundsbelyst tangentbord

Chiclet-tangentbordets belysta tangenter (2 ljusstyrkor) har en kort lyfthöjd och en tydlig tryckpunkt. Motståndet skulle kunna vara lite bättre. Tangentbordet vrider sig en aning när du skriver, men det är inte särskilt irriterande. Sammantaget har Acer levererat ett tangentbord som passar för daglig användning - trots det räknas det verkligen inte som en av de bästa inmatningsenheterna på marknaden. En klickplatta med multi-touch-funktion (ca 10,5 x 6,5 cm) ersätter behovet av en mus. Den har ett kort lyft och en tydlig tryckpunkt.

Acer-laptopens 14-tumsskärm (2 880 x 1 800 pixlar), som har ett bildförhållande på 16:10, är typisk för OLED-enheter och ger ett utmärkt svartvärde och snabba reaktionshastigheter. Med en pixeltäthet på 242 ppi kan de enskilda pixlarna inte ses med blotta ögat. Skärmen är Vesa-certifierad (DisplayHDR 500 True Black).

Panelens svagheter är den reflekterande ytan, låg ljusstyrka och viss flimmer (357 Hz) vid ljusstyrka ≤ 100 procent. Det senare har att göra med hur panelen reglerar sin ljusstyrka.

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

In comparison: 53 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 17900 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 3846000) Hz was measured.

Prestanda - Raptor Lake ger mer kraft

Acers Swift Go 14 är en bärbar 14-tums laptop med OLED-skärm och aluminiumhölje. Raptor Lake (U eller H) ger tillräckligt med kraft för kontors- och internetanvändning samt enkla spel. I skrivande stund är den aktuella testenheten den billigaste enheten i serien och kostar cirka 800 USD.

Villkor för testning

Du kan växla mellan tre tillverkarspecifika prestandaprofiler (se tabell) med tangentkombinationen Fn + F - eller alternativt via den förinstallerade Quick Access-appen. Profilerna "prestandaläge" (benchmarks) och "tyst läge" (batteritest) användes.

Prestanda- och normalläget gav nästan identiska resultat i alla tester vi utförde. Normalläget är därför perfekt för daglig användning - särskilt eftersom fläktarna används mer diskret. Detta kan vara annorlunda med mer kraftfulla Raptor Lake H-varianter av Swift.

Utsläpp och effekt - Acer-laptopen ger ifrån sig lite ljud

Utsläpp av buller

Den bärbara datorn är en av de tystaste i sitt slag. Den installerade kylenheten är ofta tyst vid daglig användning (kontor, internet), och de två fläktarna går diskret vid medelhög belastning. Det blir mer högljutt under full belastning: Vi uppmätte ljudtrycksnivåer på 43,2 dB(A). Denna redan låga ljudnivå kan minskas ytterligare genom att använda "tyst läge" - på bekostnad av viss datorkraft.

Negativt: Fläktarna avger ett subtilt visslande ljud som blir mer intensivt när hastigheten ökar. Det finns också ett skramlande ljud inuti den bärbara datorn (endast märkbart i absolut tystnad).

Den bärbara datorn blir inte alltför varm under full belastning (stresstest). Vid daglig användning (kontor, internet) ligger dessa värden alltid i den gröna zonen.

Stresstestet (Prime95 och Furmark vid kontinuerlig användning) simulerar ett extremt scenario för att analysera hur stabilt systemet är under full belastning. Efter att testet påbörjats sjönk CPU-klockfrekvensen avsevärt (P: 1,6 till 1,8 GHz, E: 1,4 till 1,5 GHz). Grafikkortet kördes med värden runt 1 000 MHz.

Snyggt utseende, tillräckligt med kraft, prisvärd - Acer Swift Go 14 kan hitta sin plats i skolor, universitet och kontor.

Dess bärbara egenskaper undermineras något av dess färgstarka (DCI-P3), kontrastrika OLED-panel (2 880 x 1 800 pixlar, 90 Hz) med ett bildförhållande på 16:10: Den reflekterande ytan med låg maximal ljusstyrka gör att den bärbara datorn endast lämpar sig för inomhusbruk. Positiva egenskaper: En QHD-webbkamera (3,7 MP) är placerad ovanför skärmen.

ACore i5-1335U, 16 GB RAM (dual-channel) och en PCIe 4 SSD (512 GB) utrustar enheten för kontors- och internetanvändning. Utsläppen ger ingen anledning till oro: Den bärbara datorn är oftast tystgående och blir knappt varm.

Ett alternativ skulle kunna varaAsus ZenBook 14 UM340. Den har bättre CPU-prestanda och längre drifttider. Den har dock inga USB 4- eller Thunderbolt 4-portar.
