EN→SVFor the asking price, the Acer Nitro 16S AI is a well-balanced gaming laptop. Performance is strong (remember, the model on sale in the UK has a more powerful GPU with 12GB of vRAM than the one I was sent to test), while battery life is decent for a thoroughbred gaming machine. The option to add a second SSD and more RAM is always welcome, and buyers who want a laptop for general use as well as for gaming will welcome support for Windows AI functions like Recall and the facial recognition webcam. If I had to pick a hole or two, I’d prefer a screen that covered 100% of the DCI-P3 colour space and had a little less bounce in the keyboard, but I don’t regard either as a deal-breaker. It’s a shame Acer isn’t selling the entry-level RTX 5060 model in the UK because I suspect it would represent even better value given the frame rates that even the lowliest of the latest Blackwell GPUs can deliver with games supporting DLSS 4, but if you splash out on either of the RTX 5070Ti models you will not be disappointed.

EN→SVThe Acer Nitro 16S AI is a capable mid-range gaming laptop with solid performance at 1080p and 1440p, plus it offers surprisingly strong battery life for a laptop of its power alongside a comfortable keyboard and excellent port selection. Its IPS screen is fine and bright, although it lacks the punch from OLED options elsewhere. Against the older Acer Nitro V16, there is a handy boost in performance from the newer internals here, plus much better battery life, while it retains the same minimalistic design. It also has a much stronger screen than Medion’s Erazer Deputy 15 P1, although it isn’t quite as powerful as that one, or the Asus TUF Gaming A18. If you want a capable mid-ranger, this Acer choice is definitely a contender.

NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop: Mobilt grafikkort i mellanklassen från Blackwell-familjen baserat på GB206-chipet med 3328 shaders och 8 GB GDDR7-grafikminne (128 bit).
De här grafikkorten bör klara av alla nuvarande spel med acceptabel bildfrekvens, men inte nödvändigtvis med höga inställningar. Särskilt krävande spel kanske bara fungerar med låga inställningar. Till skillnad från prestandakorten hittar man däremot de här grafikkorten i bärbara datorer av lite mindre format med bättre batteritid.

Ryzen AI 7 350: En relativt kraftfull processor i Strix Point-familjen som debuterade i oktober 2024. APU:n med hybridarkitektur har 8 CPU-kärnor (en blandning av Zen 5- och Zen 5c-kärnor) som körs på upp till 5,0 GHz, tillsammans med Radeon 880M-grafikkortet och 50 TOPS XDNA 2-neuralmotorn. AMD Secure Processor (som i ett nötskal är en inbyggd ARM-co-processor) finns också ombord, liksom några andra avancerade funktioner, som AMD-Vi. Andra viktiga funktioner inkluderar PCIe 4, USB 4 och upp till LPDDR5x-8000 RAM-stöd, inklusive ECC RAM.
