Vivo seems to already have the formula down for a good camera-focused midranger and isn't rocking the boat too much with the V50. It basically borrows most of the experience and even hardware from the V40 and V30 before it, bringing in some new refinements. The main camera has been tweaked a little to now include a better OV50e sensor plus Zeiss optics for all three shooters. And there is now an even larger 6,000mAh battery with faster 90W charging. This year, the model introduces a new Dimond Shield Glass protection (in collaboration with Schott), which should be up to 50% more drop-resistant compared to the V40's first Schott glass. Of course, the trio of 50MP autofocusing cameras continue to be the star of the show.

Still, I do wish for a bit more performance since the gaming performance isn’t the best – but hey, if you don’t play games on your phone, then it’s not a problem. The battery life of the vivo V50 is astoundingly good, and we can even use a USB-PD PPS charger to get the same charging speed as the included 90W charger. That’s fantastic. I don’t think you need to rush out and upgrade from the V40 Pro, though if you want a bigger battery, then certainly do it. But there’s not a lot here to make me want to move from the V40 Pro. Still, if you’re looking to upgrade from an older midrange smartphone, and you can get one of these, then the vivo V50 is a solid choice. Vivo:
Det här är mindre avancerade grafikkort för användare som ändå vill kunna spela spel. Nya spel bör vara spelbara, men ofta bara med låga detaljinställningar och låg upplösning. Eftersom moderna grafikkort i den här klassen har låg strömförbrukning kan även batteritiden vara bra.
Qualcomm Adreno 720: Grafikchip för smartphones och surfplattor, integrerat i Qualcomm Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 SoC. Enligt Qualcomm 2x snabbare än den gamla Adreno 644 i Snapdragon 7 Gen 1.
Bara vissa äldre spel kan spelas flytande med de här grafikkorten. Kretsar med delat minne har fördelen att de utvecklar mindre värme och ger längre batteritid. De duger gott för kontorsbruk, surfande och enklare bildbehandling, men spel och HD-video är inte i syftet med de här kretsarna.

Integrerat grafikkort i mellanklass med 2 kluster. Baserat på Valhall-arkitekturen.
En del nyare spel kan spelas med de här grafikkorten, men bara om de är mindre krävande. De har ändå tillräcklig kapacitet för kontorsbruk och film (möjligen högupplöst). Är grafikkretsen dessutom integrerad kan batteritiden vara utmärkt.
ARM Mali-G615 MP2: Mellanklassgrafikchip för smartphones med 2 av 6 möjliga kärnor. Baserat på den fjärde generationen av Valhall-arkitekturen. Erbjuder skuggning med variabel hastighet.

Qualcomm Snapdragon:
SD 7 Gen 3: Mellanklass-SoC med 8 kryokärnor (1x ARM Cortex-X2 2,91 GHz prime core, 3x ARM Cortex A710 2,49 GHz performance cluster, 4x ARM Cortex A510 med 1,8 efficiency cluster) och ett X62 5G-modem (upp till 4400 Mbps nedladdning). Chipet tillverkas i den moderna 4nm-processen hos TSMC.
Mediatek Dimensity 6000:
Dimensity 6300: Processorn har totalt åtta kärnor, som är uppdelade i två kluster. Den ena har två ARM Cortex-A76-prestandakärnor med upp till 2,4 GHz vardera, medan den andra har sex ARM Cortex-A55-energisparande kärnor med upp till 2,0 GHz vardera. LPDDR4x RAM med 2.133 MHz kan användas som RAM och UFS 2.2 stöds som internminne. Dimensity 6300 är mycket lik den gamla Dimensity 6080.

Dimensity 7300: Dimensity 7300 är en mellanklassprocessor med ett integrerat 5G-modem. CPU-delen integrerar fyra ARM Cortex-A78-kärnor med upp till 2,5 GHz och fyra Cortex-A55 power-kärnor med upp till 2 GHz. SoC:n är tillverkad med den moderna 4nm-processen.
