Test av Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 med 8 GB: Vilka möjligheter har den nya RTX-3000-seriens instegsmodell?

En prisvärd nyhet i Ampere-serien? I början av året introducerade Nvidia ytterligare ett Ampere-grafikkort som heter Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050. GeForce RTX 3050 utgör nu ingången till RTX-3000-seriens värld. Med exemplet KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX tar vi en mer detaljerad titt på prestandan hos instegsmodellen.

Vid denna tidpunkt har GeForce RTX-3000-serien funnits på marknaden ett tag. Ändå följer Nvidia upp i början av året och presenterar Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050. Med detta finns det nu en prisvärd representant i instegssegmentet som ska underlätta inträdet i RTX-3000-serien.

För att testa det har tillverkaren KFA2 försett oss med ett motsvarande testprov. För att vara exakt använder vi KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX. Med fläktstoppläget erbjuder vår testenhet en användbar funktion som möjliggör tyst 2D-drift. Dessutom är den även visuellt tilltalande med RGB-belysningen. För grafikkretsen använder GeForce RTX 3050 en modul från den snabbare Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060. Den GA106 som används är dock en form som är betydligt svagare. I slutändan återstår fortfarande 2560 shader-enheter som kan använda 8 GB GDDR6-VRAM totalt. Med detta kontrar och överträffar Nvidia AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT på detta område och erbjuder lika mycket VRAM som AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT AMD Radeon RX 6600. När det gäller strömförbrukning är Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 relativt effektiv med 130 watt. Modellen från KFA2 kräver dock fortfarande en 8-stifts strömanslutning. Externt kan den betjäna upp till fyra bildskärmar samtidigt. För detta finns en enda HDMI-anslutning som stöder den senaste standarden (2.1) och tre DisplayPort-anslutningar (1.4a).

Vid tidpunkten för lanseringen angav Nvidia ett rekommenderat försäljningspris på 279 euro (~304 dollar). På grund av den nuvarande marknadssituationen är det dock uppenbart att detta pris inte kan hållas. Vår nuvarande testenhet kostar 389 euro (423 dollar), vilket är betydligt mer än Nvidias rekommenderade försäljningspris.

Vårt testsystem är baserat på en AMD Ryzen 9 5900X

Ett aktuellt AMD-system baserat på Asus X570 ROG Crosshair VIII Hero WiFi fungerar som vår testplattform. AMD Ryzen 9 5900XcPU erbjuder en bra CPU-prestanda och vi använder en AiO (Alphacool Eisbear 360) för kylning. Arbetsminnet på 32 GB kommer från G.Skill och tillhandahölls till oss. Vi använder en Acer Predator XB321HK som bildskärm, som inte begränsar oss med sin UHD-kapacitet. I det här läget vill vi tacka AMD för att de försåg oss med vår testplattform.

Klockfrekvenserna för INNO3D GeForce RTX 3060 Twin X2

När det gäller KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX:s klockfrekvenser överstiger KFA2 något Boost-klockfrekvenserna för Nvidias specifikationer i vår testenhet. Samtidigt överskrids Boost-klockhastigheterna tydligt i nästan alla spel. KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX körs ofta med klockfrekvenser mellan 1900 MHz och 1960 MHz i våra speltester. I den här modellen kan effektmålet inte ökas ytterligare, vilket begränsar överklockningsmöjligheterna något.

Syntetiska riktmärken

I de första testerna som vi körde för syntetiska benchmarks placerade KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX sig precis där vi hade förväntat oss i förväg. På grund av dess tekniska data hade vi redan förväntat oss en betydande nackdel för Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060. GeForce RTX 3050 klarade sig dock överraskande bra jämfört med Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super, som den kan hålla i schack i de flesta tester. Jämfört med AMD kan vår testenhet placera sig mellanAMD Radeon RX 5500 XTochAMD Radeon RX 5600 XT. I dagsläget har vi ännu inte kunnat få tag på en instegsmodell av den nuvarande AMD Radeon RX-6000-serien (AMD Radeon RX 6400 eller AMD Radeon RX 6500 XT).

I speltesterna klarar sig KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX ganska bra och förlorar endast 15 % i prestanda jämfört med KFA2 RTX 3050 EX Nvidia GeForce RTX 3060. Vår testenhet överträffar lätt Nvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super, och du kan förvänta dig ungefär 10 % mer prestanda. AMD Radeon RX 5500 XThar ingen chans mot GeForce RTX 3050, även om vår testmodell från KFA2 inte kan konkurrera med enAMD Radeon RX 5600 XT.

En titt på alla spel som vi testade med KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX visar att den här modellen helt klart är ett 1080p-spelgrafikkort. De senaste spelen, som till exempel God of War, ställer höga krav på grafikkortet i maximala inställningar. Här uppmätte vi endast 38 FPS. Det är dock bara några separata utfall, eftersom de flesta spel kan avnjutas med maximala detaljer i FullHD vid 60 till 100 FPS. Du kan spela vissa spel smidigt ibland även i 1440p

De inbyggda 8 GB VRAM är bra och lugnande, eftersom FPS-frekvensen sjunker märkbart när VRAM-gränsen nås. Detta händer inte när du spelar i 1080p med den mängd VRAM som finns här. Som vanligt använder vi spelet"The Witcher 3"(1080p Ultra preset) för att mäta bildfrekvensen och dess utveckling. Medan vi registrerar våra mätningar finns det några separata outliers, men dessa har ingen större inverkan på latenstiderna. Utvecklingen av bildfrekvensen är också oansenlig, den sjunker bara något i mitten, men detta kan spåras till spelvärlden. Utsläppen från KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX lämnar ett gott intryck. Den relativt låga TDP på endast 130 watt har en positiv effekt på strömförbrukningen under belastning. Vi mäter endast 247 watt för hela testsystemet. Detta är ungefär samma som AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT, men som levererar betydligt mindre prestanda

Det inbyggda kylsystemet med sina två 92 millimeter (~3,6 tum) axialfläktar säkerställer en mycket bra kylning under belastning. Under stresstestet var GPU-temperaturen endast 70 °C (158 °F), även om temperaturen vid hotspot blev något högre, nästan 84 °C (183 °F). Det finns dock fortfarande tillräckligt med utrymme tills det sker en viss strypning på grund av temperaturerna

När det gäller bulleremissioner märkte vi inte av något irriterande spolningsvisslande i KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX. Vi kan inte avgöra om detta även gäller för andra modeller från tillverkaren eller om vi helt enkelt hade tur. Grafikkortet har också ett fläktstoppläge, så att vi inte hör grafikkortet alls vid tomgångsdrift. Vid belastning ökar fläktarna lite, vilket skapar ett tyst surrande ljud som är hörbart utanför det stängda höljet. På ett avstånd av 15 cm mätte vi en ljudnivå på 39,8 dB(A) under stresstestet.

KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX är en representant för de nya grafikkorten på ingångsnivå i den nuvarande Nvidia RTX-3000-serien. Modellen erbjuder användbara funktioner och producerar en något högre prestanda med den högre Boost-klockfrekvensen jämfört med referensdata. I den direkta prestandavärderingen visar KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX ungefär samma hastighet som ett Nvidia GeForce RTX 1660 Super. Med 8 GB VRAM finns det dock 2 GB mer i den här RTX-modellen. Dessutom erbjuder den nya instegsmodellen även DLSS och raytracing, som tidigare varit förbehållet GTX-modellerna. När det gäller utrustningen får vår testenhet också poäng med en RGB-belysning som ger grafikkortet lite visuell attraktionskraft. De som inte gillar detta kan också stänga av det med hjälp av en liten strömbrytare direkt på grafikkortet.

KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX är ett effektivt grafikkort för 1080p-spel som inte är snålt med VRAM.

Grafikkortet kunde imponera på oss med en prestanda som är genomgående solid. Även vid intensiv användning finns det inga prestandasprång och användaren får fortfarande konstant prestanda. Detta är resultatet av en kombination av låg strömförbrukning och ett bra kylsystem som alltid håller ett bra grepp om grafikkortet. Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050 får dock kämpa med Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060 Super ellerNvidia GeForce GTX 1660 Super som konkurrenter. De som för närvarande äger ett ännu äldre eller långsammare grafikkort och som inte vill betala de höga priserna för mellan- eller toppmodellerna kan eventuellt göra en bra kompromiss för en tid med köpet av ett Nvidia GeForce RTX 3050. För närvarande sjunker priserna på toppmodellerna något. Samtidigt är KFA2 GeForce RTX 3050 EX inte heller tillgänglig någonstans till Nvidias rekommenderade försäljningspris. För närvarande byter vår testenhet ägare för 389 euro (~423 dollar)
