Lenovo gjorde ett misstag med ThinkPad E14 Gen 1: Att nedgradera minnet till att använda enkel kanal för att få ett tunnare chassi. Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 2 åtgärdar detta misstag samtidigt som den tack vare AMD Ryzen 4000 erbjuder bättre prestanda än någon annan E ThinkPad.

Med det sagt är ThinkPad E-serien förstås fortfarande en budgetorienterad laptopserie. Detta förklarar den relativt mörka och färgsvaga skärmen, att datorn saknar microSD-plats samt att portutbudet känns billigt. ThinkPad-modeller från L- och T-serierna är bättre på detta, vilket de också är när det kommer till företagsfunktioner. Dessutom blir ThinkPad E14 Gen 2 varm kring handledsstödet vid belastning, materialen man valt gör chassit tungt och den kunde haft bättre batteritid.

ThinkPad-inmatningsenheter, AMD Ryzen 4000 och ett lågt pris: Letar man efter en sådan kombination är ThinkPad E14 Gen 2 ett bra val till hemmakontoret - men Lenovos kostnadsbesparingar kan vara avgörande för vissa användare.

Om du minskar dina förväntningar på skärm och portutbud kan Lenovo ThinkPad E14 Gen 2 ändå vara lockande. Riktigt bra inmatningsenheter, ett kompakt chassi och en tyst fläkt är alla önskvärda attribut.
