Recension av Huawei MateBook D 15 AMD: Billig multimedialaptop

Nu med Ryzen 5000. Huawei har uppgraderat sin MateBook D 15 till en snabb AMD Ryzen 5000-processor. Det låga priset på 5 690 kronor kommer dock på bekostnad av framför allt bildkvalitet och anslutningsmöjligheter.

Huaweis MateBook D-serie erbjuder prisvärda bärbara multimediebärbara datorer med 14- eller 15-tumsskärmar. Idag tar vi en titt på den senaste versionen av den större MateBook D 15, som kombinerar det välbekanta metallchassit med en Ryzen 5000-mobilprocessor från AMD. Dessutom får du en matt IPS-skärm, en 512 GB SSD och 8 GB RAM för ett pris på 569 euro (~600 dollar).

Hölje och anslutningsmöjligheter

Det silverfärgade metallhöljet är oförändrat jämfört med den föregångaren, men MateBook D 15 fortsätter att lämna ett mycket gott intryck, särskilt i den här prisklassen. Enheten ser helt enkelt väldigt högkvalitativ ut, och det finns inga problem när det gäller stabilitet. Som tidigare används en 16:9-skärm, men skärmkanter är inte alltför breda, och det totala förhållandet mellan skärm och kropp är en hygglig 79 %.

MateBook D 15 är en av de mest kompakta enheterna i jämförelsegruppen, och med sina 1,6 kg är den också en av de lättaste. Huawei inkluderar den välbekanta 65-watts nätadaptern, som inte heller är särskilt tung med sina 200 gram. Det nedre locket fästs med sammanlagt 10 Torxskruvar (T5), och det kan lätt tas bort. Inredningen ger tillgång till fläkten, M.2-SSD:n och Wi-Fi-modulen, men RAM-minnet är fastlödd och kan inte utökas.

Användarna måste dock kompromissa när det gäller portarna, eftersom endast det absoluta minimum finns tillgängligt här. Totalt får du tre vanliga USB-A-portar, men de två till höger stöder endast den långsamma 2.0-standarden. Dessutom finns det en USB-C-port som också kan användas för laddning, men inte för att ansluta en extern bildskärm. För detta måste HDMI-utgången användas.

Wi-Fi-modulen från RealTek har ännu inte stöd för Wi-Fi 6, men prestandan är stabil i vårt standardiserade test med routern Netgear Nighthawk AX12, och det borde inte vara några problem vid daglig användning. Webbkameran i 720p är fortfarande integrerad i tangentbordet, vilket är bra för säkerheten, men bildkvaliteten är fortfarande dålig, och särskilt perspektivet fortsätter att vara lite förvrängt.

Inmatningsenheter - MateBook saknar bakgrundsbelyst tangentbord

MateBook D 15:s svarta tangentbord har en ganska låg tangentavstånd, men själva tangentbordet är ändå exakt. Tangentbordet känns dock lite skramligt överlag, och det är också ganska högt när du skriver, så du får bara en genomsnittlig skrivupplevelse överlag här. I kontrast till det mindre MateBook D 14har MateBook D 15 inget bakgrundsbelyst tangentbord, vilket innebär att det är förenat med begränsningar eller helt enkelt inte lika bekvämt att använda enheten i mörkare miljöer. På strömknappen uppe till höger finns också en fingeravtrycksläsare som fungerar bra.

ClickPad stöder Microsofts Precision -standard och fungerar bra vid daglig användning. Den hanterar inmatningar och gester med upp till fyra fingrar smidigt. Padden kan tryckas ner i det nedre området, men detta åtföljs av ett högt ljud. I det här fallet rekommenderar vi att du bara trycker på plattan för inmatningar (tryck för att klicka).

Huawei har utrustat MateBook D 15 med en 15,6-tums IPS-skärm med Full HD-upplösning (1920x1080 pixlar, 16:9). Subjektivt sett lider bildkvaliteten lite under den matta ytan, eftersom innehållet ser lite grynigt ut, och överlag ser bilden helt enkelt inte lika skarp och levande ut som på IPS-skärmar av högre kvalitet.

Enligt specifikationsbladet är ljusstyrkan endast 250 cd/m², men vårt recensionsexemplar överträffar det något med ett genomsnitt på 280 cd/m². Tack vare det låga svartvärdet på 0,2 är det resulterande kontrastförhållandet mycket högt på nästan 1 500:1. Svarstiderna är inte de snabbaste, men ghosting var egentligen inget problem i praktiken. Vi upptäckte inte heller något PWM-flimmer.

Gråskalor visar endast en liten grön nyans, vilket fortfarande är okej, men färgavvikelserna är mycket stora. Med vår egen kalibrering kan vi främst förbättra gråskalorna, men det finns inte mycket att göra när det gäller färgerna. Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

Provningsvillkor

Den förinstallerade Huawei PC Manager erbjuder ett valfritt prestandaläge, men precis som med Huaweis och Honor:s tidigare bärbara AMD-datorer påverkar det inte prestanda eller fläktljud. Därför utförde vi följande benchmarks och mätningar med standardläget "Balanserat" och Windows-inställningen "Bästa prestanda"

Processor - Ryzen 5 5500U

Liksom i den nyligen granskade Huawei MateBook 14är den aktuella MateBook D 15 också utrustad med AMDRyzen 5 5500Uprocessor, som inte längre är exakt uppdaterad och har 6 kärnor och 12 trådar. Prestandautbytet är bra eftersom processorn snabbt lägger sig på stabila 31 watt efter att kortvarigt ha förbrukat 36 watt

Prestandan är särskilt bra i flerkärniga tester och den nya MateBook D 15 är ungefär dubbelt så snabb som föregångaren med den äldre Ryzen 5 3500U. Testen av enkärnor avslöjar dock att Ryzen 5 5500U fortfarande använder de äldre Zen 2-kärnorna, men resultaten är ändå bra överlag, särskilt med tanke på prisklassen. Den integreradeVega 6 GPU i Ryzen-processorn är mycket väl lämpad för alla vardagliga saker, och tack vare den starka videodekodern har den inga problem med uppspelning av högupplösta videor. IGPU:n drar också nytta av den dubbelkanaliga minneskonfigurationen, och prestandan i det syntetiska 3DMarks ligger på den förväntade nivån.

MateBook D 15 är dock endast lämplig för spel i mycket begränsad omfattning. Enkla titlar som DOTA 2 körs smidigt även vid högre detaljer, men du måste minska detaljnivån eller upplösningen i de flesta moderna spel.

MateBook D 15 är bara utrustad med en fläkt, men den är oftast mycket tyst i vardaglig användning, och den bärbara datorn är ofta helt tyst eftersom det inte heller finns några irriterande elektroniska ljud, som t.ex. spolningsljud. Den asymmetriska kylningen gör att värmeutvecklingen koncentreras till vänster sida också. På det hela taget uppvisar MateBook D 15 inga problem i våra mätningar av förbrukningen, och den håller sig under 10 watt vid tomgångsanvändning, även vid full ljusstyrka. Vi mäter maximalt knappt 60 watt i stresstestet, och analogt med processorns TDP sjunker detta värde till cirka 55 watt under testets gång. Detta innebär att den medföljande 65-watts nätadaptern har tillräcklig kapacitet

I vårt Wi-Fi-test vid 150 cd/m² (motsvarar 72 % av testenhetens maximala ljusstyrka) klarar den nästan 9 timmar, och vid maximal ljusstyrka klarar den fortfarande 7:30 timmar, vilket också överträffar nästan alla jämförelseenheter. En fullständig laddningsprocess tar cirka 2 timmar när enheten är påslagen

Slutsats - MateBook D 15 erbjuder ett bra pris-prestandaförhållande

Den uppdaterade versionen av Huawei MateBook D 15 kan också imponera på många områden som en prisvärd bärbar multimediebärbar dator. Det börjar med det eleganta och robusta metallhöljet, vilket inte är normen i den här prisklassen. Trots sin ålder är användningen av denAMD Ryzen 5 5500U också ett hyggligt val eftersom den erbjuder bra effektivitetsgrader utöver riklig prestanda, vilket möjliggör lång batteritid.

Med aktuella MateBook D 15 erbjuder Huawei återigen en bra multimedialaptop till ett lågt pris. Metallhöljet och AMD-processorn är övertygande, men till det här priset går det inte att undvika kompromisser på vissa områden.

Naturligtvis måste du kompromissa på vissa områden i den här prisklassen, och du kan inte förvänta dig den senaste tekniken i alla avseenden. De två USB 2.0-portarna verkar till exempel lite malplacerade, men eftersom det även finns en snabbport på andra sidan bör det sällan finnas några begränsningar i praktiken i detta avseende. Detta gäller även för Wi-Fi 5-modulen. Även om det finns snabbare rivaler här är prestandan också fullt tillräcklig för daglig användning.

Tyvärr kan RAM-minnet (8 GB) inte utökas, vilket kanske kan bli problematiskt under de kommande åren. Enligt vår mening är dock de två största nackdelarna bristen på bakgrundsbelysning för tangentbordet och den ganska gryniga bilden på den matta IPS-panelen. Jämfört med bättre skärmar kan man tydligt se att det här är en billig IPS-skärm. Den direkta konkurrensen är dock till och med sämre i vissa fall.

Användare som kan förlika sig med detta kommer ändå att få en bärbar multimediadator med ett bra pris-prestandaförhållande. I jämförelse med konkurrensen från Lenovo, Acer, eller Dellser MateBook främst mycket bättre ut tack vare metallhöljet.

Pris och tillgänglighet

I skrivande stund verkar MateBook D 15 inte finnas tillgänglig i butiker i USA.
