Det finns mycket att gilla i Surface Laptop 2. Datorn har uppgraderats till modern prestandanivå, och det som var bra med den 2017 är fortfarande bra med den idag – den stilrena designen, ergonomin, ljud och bild. Men det som var mossigt redan för två år sedan är ännu mer mossigt idag, framför allt portarna. Microsoft säger sig släppa datorer och plattor för att visa vägen för andra tillverkare hur de tycker att datorer ska se ut. Att de då släpar efter på en sådan enkel punkt känns obegripligt.

Overall, the Surface Laptop 2 is an easy laptop to fall for. It offers great styling, a good display, and the Surface touches such as a touch display, great keyboard, and great design. Some people won’t be able to live with a single USB port though, and that decision will knock this laptop out of consideration for those users. But if you don’t need a lot of connectivity, the Surface Laptop 2 is a fantastic device and worthy of consideration. The pricing is generally $100 more than the equivilent Surface Pro though, and that price gap expands significantly at the top end of the range to $400 more for the Surface Laptop for a 1TB Core i7 with 16 GB of RAM. That's a steep price hike over the Surface Pro 6, and is possibly why Microsoft sells far more Surface Pros than anything else in their lineup.

The Surface Laptop 2 is one of the best premium ultraportables out there. Just like its predecessor it's gorgeous to look at and incredibly well built. Only this time it comes with full Windows 10 off the bat, plus more power than before. The biggest downside is the lack of USB-C, otherwise it's near perfect.

The Surface Laptop 2 is an elegant 13.5-inch touch-screen laptop. This year's model offers two notable perks: modern 8th-Gen Intel processors and a slick black color (though you need to spend more for it).
