Lenovos namngivning av surfplattor är tydlig och samtidigt förvirrande. P står för Premium och 12 är en fingervisning om skärmens storlek, men det betyder att det kan finnas flera plattor med samma eller snarlika namn, och efterled som Pro eller (2nd Gen) utan att plattorna behöver vara särskilt lika varandra. De flesta av Lenovos surfplattor i P-serien har haft Oled-skärm, medan LCD-displayer främst har funnits i den billigare M-serien. Fördelen med Oled-skärmar är att de har skarpare färger, äkta svärta i det mörka och ser dessutom mycket bättre ut med förhöjd uppdateringsfrekvens. Men Lenovo Tab P12 har varken Oled eller förhöjd uppdateringsfrekvens, utan en LCD-display på 60 Hz. Det känns nästan lite gammaldags och billigt för prislappen på 5000 kronor. Däremot är skärmen stor, 12,7 tum, och jag kan inte på rak arm komma på någon annan surfplatta i den här prisklassen med så stor skärm. Jag saknar ändå svärtan och den högre uppdateringsfrekvensen när jag använder plattan.

Det här är en surfplatta som passar bäst för just surf. Den stora och högupplösta skärmen och ett gränssnitt med bra multitaskingfunktion och helt okej processorprestanda hanterar webbsidor och även andra informationsfyllda appar bra. Men det finns ett klart prestandatak som den ibland kan slå i, och skärmen har inte riktig proffsnivå för att jobba med kreativt skapande på, som fotohantering och illustration. Men som stor platta för vardagsbruk är den lyckad.

Neither will the controversial keyboard case, which will not allow you to comfortably replace a laptop with this tablet for basic work with text.

The Lenovo Tab P12 offers something a little different from the rest of the mid-priced Android tablet crowd. It might not be as fast or well-specced as the Xiaomi Pad 5 or the OnePlus Pad, but a laser-like focus on creativity and productivity makes it better suited to certain use cases. Its huge 12.7in 3K display isn’t the absolute best on the market, but its sheer size – in conjunction with crisp quad speakers – make for a uniquely impactful media playback package. What’s more, the bundled-in Tab Pen Plus stylus and optional keyboard case transform the Lenovo Tab P12 into a powerful yet affordable tool for creative types. If you’re after a well-priced tablet to do classic tablet things like browsing the web and playing games, then the likes of the Xiaomi Pad 5 and OnePlus Pad are much better (and much more portable) bets. Lenovo Tab P12 (TB370FU) review – great build quality and 3K display

If you are on the hunt for a big-screen tablet that doesn’t cost a fortune, the Lenovo Tab P12 (TB370FU) should possibly be on your shortlist. The device has a sharp 12.7″ IPS display with punchy colors that offers detailed picture quality. We watched some 4K YouTube videos on the big screen of the Lenovo machine and they look great thanks to the quality high-res panel. The build feels solid, the back is made of metal and we didn’t observe any bends or squeaky noises while trying to bend the device a bit. The quad JBL speakers sound good and the maximum volume is on the high side. The pictures that we take using both cameras are okay for a tablet. The back is an 8MP snapper that can also record 1080p 30FPS video (but the quality is below average) while the front one is able to capture 4K clips that looked detailed for a tablet. The device isn’t bloated with unnecessary software.

Integrerat grafikkort i mellanklass med 4 kluster baserade på Valhall-arkitekturen. 

En del nyare spel kan spelas med de här grafikkorten, men bara om de är mindre krävande. De har ändå tillräcklig kapacitet för kontorsbruk och film (möjligen högupplöst). Är grafikkretsen dessutom integrerad kan batteritiden vara utmärkt.
