Den äldre Inspiron 16 7640 2-i-1 kan vara ett bättre alternativ om processorprestanda är av yttersta vikt. Annars är den nyare Dell 16 Plus 2-i-1 den mer effektiva maskinen.

Dell 16 Plus 2-i-1 är nu allmänt tillgänglig för köp för att ersätta förra årets Inspiron 16 7640 2-i-1. Det finns en handfull förändringar, men den största är utan tvekan bytet från en Core Ultra-H CPU till en Core Ultra-V, vilket påverkar den totala prestandan.

När det gäller rå CPU-prestanda är Core Ultra 7 155H i förra årets Inspiron vara över 1,5 gånger snabbare än Core Ultra 7 258V i den nyare Dell 16 Plus 2-i-1 när det gäller flertrådiga belastningar. Deltaet kan vara ganska betydande för avancerade användare som kanske förlitar sig på den snabbare processorn.

När det gäller rå GPU-prestanda är det motsatta sant eftersom Arc 140V kan vara 1,3x till 1,5x snabbare än Arc 8 när du spelar. Den är inte bara snabbare, den är också betydligt mer strömeffektiv, vilket ger bättre prestanda per watt, lägre kärntemperaturer och tystare fläktljud. Användare som kan dra nytta av en snabbare GPU kan följaktligen föredra den nyare Dell 16 Plus 2-i-1 framför den äldre Inspiron 16 7640 2-i-1.
