On the flip side, if you want more power, there is a variant of the G16 featuring an NVIDIA RTX 5060 GPU for PHP 74,995.For reference, the laptops come with a free ASUS backpack, 3-Months Xbox Game Pass, ASUS 2-Year International Coverage, and 1-Year Accidental Damage Warranty.Still, it’s far from perfect.

EN→SVOkay then, should you buy this ASUS V16 laptop? Do I recommend it? I do think it’s a pretty good budget gaming laptop, all things considered. We do have an upgrade path – and I personally advise you to get another stick of 16GB DDR5 RAM the instant you get this laptop – and the performance is actually very good for 1080p gaming. I mean, at the price of RM3,999 only, I think it’s a great deal. Granted, the screen isn’t the best here but we can get a good 24-inch external 1080p monitor these days for a very low price.

That means it has to compromise here and there, so you're getting a fair chassis with alright ergonomics, but older generation hardware, a washed out display and lousy audio. The RTX 5050 configuration discussed here is arguably an interesting performer, but still needs to come down in price to be a competitive choice - should happen later in the year.

EN→SVThe ASUS V16 is an interesting gaming laptop. It doesn’t try to outmuscle its flashier ROG siblings, and it certainly doesn’t match the polish of something like Gigabyte’s Aero 16X that I just tested not long ago. Even its compromises are obvious: the screen is underwhelming, the keyboard layout isn’t perfect, and you’ll sometimes need to dial back game settings to keep things smooth. But it also has strengths worth noting. Intel’s Core 7 240H gives it an edge in creator workloads, battery life outpaces what you’d expect from its smaller pack, and the overall design doesn’t scream “gamer” – a plus if you need one laptop that works for both the office and home. The bigger question is whether the extra S$200 for the Aero 16X is worth it.

Asus:
De här grafikkorten bör klara av alla nuvarande spel med acceptabel bildfrekvens, men inte nödvändigtvis med höga inställningar. Särskilt krävande spel kanske bara fungerar med låga inställningar. Till skillnad från prestandakorten hittar man däremot de här grafikkorten i bärbara datorer av lite mindre format med bättre batteritid.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 6GB Laptop GPU: Grafikkort för bärbara datorer i mellanklassen baserat på Ampere GA107-chipet. Har 2560 shaders och erbjuds i olika TGP-varianter (strömförbrukning) från 35 till 80 watt med olika klockfrekvenser och därmed prestanda. Uppdatering av RTX 3050 med 6GB, högre shaderantal men en minskad minnesbandbredd på 96Bit.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 Laptop GPU:
Mid-range grafikkort för bärbara datorer baserat på Ada Lovelace-arkitekturen. Erbjuder 6 GB GDDR6 (96 bitar) och är konfigurerbar med en TGP på 35 - 115W (+ Dynamic Boost).
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5050 Laptop: Instegsgrafikkort från Blackwell-familjen för Latpops med 2.560 unified shaders (CUDA-kärnor) och en klockfrekvens på 1500 - 2662 MHz beroende på TDP-inställning. Enligt Nvidia ska prestandan utan DLSS och ramgenerering vara jämförbar med ett RTX 4060.
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 Laptop: Mobilt grafikkort i mellanklassen från Blackwell-familjen baserat på GB206-chipet med 3328 shaders och 8 GB GDDR7-grafikminne (128 bit).

Core 7 240H: Alder Lake-baserad mobil CPU med 6 prestandakärnor och 4 effektiva kärnor. Prestandakärnorna erbjuder hyper threading för totalt 16 trådar. Processorn arbetar i hastigheter mellan 1,8 och 5,2 GHz. Jämfört med den äldre Core i7-13620H erbjuder Core 7 240H högre klockfrekvenser (särskilt Turbo Boost) och stöd för DDR5-5600.
Core 5 210H: Alder Lake-baserad mobil CPU med 4 prestandakärnor och 4 effektiva kärnor. Prestandakärnorna erbjuder hyper threading, vilket ger 12 bearbetningstrådar. Processorn körs i upp till 4,8 GHz.
