Asus ExpertBook B5 Flip OLED i en recension: bärbar 2-i-1-dator med Active Stylus och bra körtider

Matt pekskärm. Flaggskeppet i B5 Flip är en stor, matt 16-tums OLED-pekskärm i ett arbetsvänligt 16:10-format (3 840 x 2 400 pixlar). Med Intels Arc-A350M GPU finns en relativt ny, hittills sällan påträffad grafikkärna på instegsnivå ombord.

Asus ExpertBook B5 Flip OLED - en bärbar 2-i-1-bok från affärssegmentet - drivs av en Core i5-1260PcPU och en Arc-A350MgPU - båda komponenterna kommer från Intel. Positivt: Den konvertibla 16-tumsdatorn levereras med en Active Stylus som förvaras och laddas i basenheten. Väska och utrustning - konvertibel för företag erbjuder Thunderbolt 4

Den ganska lätta bärbara datorn (ca 1,8 kg) uppvisar inga tillverkningsfel. Locket och basenheten kan vridas lite - det hela är helt inom ramarna. Inre delarna är åtkomliga efter att man tagit bort basenheten. Asus förlitar sig på ett mattsvart metallchassi med matta ytor.

B5 erbjuder två USB-A-portar (1x USB 3.2 Gen 2, 1x USB 2.0) och två USB-C-portar (2x Thunderbolt 4; Power Delivery, Displayport). Upp till 3 externa bildskärmar (1x HDMI, 2x DP) kan anslutas. MicroSD-minneskortläsaren (referenskort: AV PRO microSD 128 GB V60) är en av de långsamma modellerna. Bra: Webbkameran (2,1 MP, max. 1 920 x 1 080 pixlar) har ett mekaniskt skydd.

WLAN-överföringshastigheterna som bestämts under optimala förhållanden (inga andra WLAN-enheter i närheten, kort avstånd mellan bärbar dator och serverdator) visar sig vara utmärkta.

Inmatningsenheter - Asus ger B5 Flip en aktiv stylus

Tangenterna på det stänkskyddade, upplysta chiclet-tangentbordet har ett medelhögt slaglängd och en tydlig tryckpunkt. Tangentmotståndet är okej. Tangentbordets minimala eftergivlighet i bästa fall visade sig inte vara irriterande. På det hela taget är det ett tangentbord som lämpar sig för daglig användning.

Den släta ytan på den multitouchbara klickplattan (ca 15 x 9,1 cm/~5,9 x 3,6 tum) gör det lätt för fingrarna att glida. Padden reagerar på inmatningar i hörnen, har en kort slaglängd och erbjuder en tydlig tryckpunkt.

Den medföljande pennan (MPP 2.0) ligger bra i handen och pennspetsen glider smidigt över den snabbt reagerande pekskärmen (10 pekpunkter). Pennan sätts in i basenheten och laddas också där.

Skärm - Bra svartvärde tack vare OLED

Den matta reflekterande ytan (AntiGlare-beläggning) på den 16-tums OLED-pekskärm (3 840 x 2 400 pixlar) i det arbetsvänliga 16:10-formatet minskar reflexer avsevärt, men förhindrar dem inte helt.

Som typiskt för OLED-skärmar lyser panelen med en utmärkt kontrast och ett utmärkt svartvärde. Men den gör också poäng med korta svarstider och relativt hög maximal ljusstyrka.

Ljusstyrkan regleras genom att mörka enskilda ränder inom det visade skärminnehållet. I B5-panelens fall sker detta med en ganska låg frekvens på 240 Hz vid ljusstyrkor ≤ 50 procent. Denna effekt liknar det välkända PWM-flimmerandet, men är inte direkt jämförbar.

Screen Flickering / PWM (Pulse-Width Modulation)

To dim the screen, some notebooks will simply cycle the backlight on and off in rapid succession - a method called Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) . This cycling frequency should ideally be undetectable to the human eye. If said frequency is too low, users with sensitive eyes may experience strain or headaches or even notice the flickering altogether.

The frequency of 240 Hz is relatively low, so sensitive users will likely notice flickering and experience eyestrain at the stated brightness setting and below.

In comparison: 53 % of all tested devices do not use PWM to dim the display. If PWM was detected, an average of 19343 (minimum: 5 - maximum: 3846000) Hz was measured.

Processor

The Core i7-1260P-Processor (Alder Lake) består av fyra prestandakärnor (hyperthreading, 2,1 till 4,7 GHz) och åtta effektivitetskärnor (ingen hyperthreading, 1,5 till 3,4 GHz). Totalt ger detta 16 logiska CPU-kärnor. CPU:n ger över genomsnittet liggande resultat i benchmarks.

Flertrådstestet i riktmärket Cinebench R15 bearbetas med 3,8 GHz (P-kärnor) respektive 3 GHz (E-kärnor). Entrådstestet körs med 2,2 till 4,7 GHz (P-kärnor) och 1,5 till 3,4 GHz (E-kärnor). Klockfrekvenserna är lägre i batteriläge. CB15-slingtestet visar: Multitrådsbelastning klaras endast med en hög Turbo-klocka under en kort tid. Efter några sekunder sjunker hastigheterna i bästa fall till en medelhög nivå.
