Det är alltså länge sedan som Apple senast släppte en Ipad Mini och jag råkar ha en Ipad Mini från 2012 som jag direkt kan jämföra med. Vid en första anblick så är de två enheterna mer eller mindre identiska. Det är först när jag provar den nya Ipad Mini i den gamla Minins skyddsfodral som jag inser att de inte har exakt samma storlek. Visst finns det andra skillnader, som att den nya Ipad Mini har fingeravtrycksläsare, vilket inte den från 2012 har, och skärmen har också blivit bättre. Ändå är det väldigt mycket de två enheterna har gemensamt och jag slås av hur lite som faktiskt hänt. Folk pratar om att mobiltelefonerna tappat i innovationstakt och att inte så mycket händer, men det påståendet bleknar onekligen när man jämför vad som hänt på mobilsidan senaste åren med vad som hänt med Ipad Mini under samma period.

The iPad mini (2019) is a fantastic tablet overall. It's definitely not geared towards heavy productivity-oriented use, but it's almost perfect for casual use. Its form factor is perfect for commutes or travelling, and it's got really powerful hardware so performance and battery life are excellent as well. The design is pretty outdated at this point but we don't think that's going to a dealbreaker for anyone.

I have tested the iPad Mini 5 for well over a week, and I can confidently say Apple’s mini tablet is better than any other Android tablet on the market. I guess a lot of people would be willing to buy the iPad Mini as it does basically 85 per cent of what the iPad Pro does. The Apple Pencil support is a huge bonus, so is the new A12 Bionic chipset. Apple A12 Bionic GPU:

Det här är mindre avancerade grafikkort för användare som ändå vill kunna spela spel. Nya spel bör vara spelbara, men ofta bara med låga detaljinställningar och låg upplösning. Eftersom moderna grafikkort i den här klassen har låg strömförbrukning kan även batteritiden vara bra.
